Versions: FIKA 0.9.9015.15435, SPT 3.9.8
Networking: Port Forwarding
Description: have a server hosted UPnP for me and my friend. I host a raid but they cannot see it. Not my first time hosting via UPnP and just cannot seem to figure out what the issue may be. We are both running the same mods and such and started new profiles. Read into FAQ and saw that the client connecting does not need to have SPT.Sever.exe running. Had my friend attempt to run the launcher without it and they get a message stating: No server available at 'SPT' to connect to Ensure you have run 'SPT.Server.exe' first.

Cannot figure out if I am missing something specific or what exactly is going on.

You cannot host the SPT.Server itself with UPnP, only raids.

#

You have to port forward 6969 TCP

#

UPnP cannot lease ports for that long.

i have my ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:6969 for hosting a raid but they cannot see it. even had them adjust their URL in launcher to match and there is still no success to see a raid while hosting

They can not see your raid unless they connect to your IP in the launcher.

Have they done so?

devout loom
#

they have

Successfully as well.

devout loom
#

they need to launch their server to start their launcher or should they be able to launch without it if my IP is in the Launcher URL?

bold warren
#

Clients never start their own server

#

They connect to yours

devout loom
#

okay. I am looking at their screen currently. They are attempting to connect

#

No server available

bold warren
#

Then you haven't port forwarded 6969 TCP in your router.

#

And if you have, your windows firewall is probably blocking it.

devout loom
#

rain the firewall fixer. had it come back clean

bold warren
#

And you have forwarded 6969 TCP in your router?

DM me your launcher settings uncensored, your friends launcher uncensored and your http.json

devout loom
#

okay

#

doing this now for them

bold warren
#

All your pictures are ok

#

So it's going to be one of these:

  • your port forward is not correct
  • firewall is blocking it
#

I've no idea what router you have but that forwarding rule does look weird to me. But I assume you've done it before and it works.

#

Try changing it to specifically TCP

i started to get some more info in my Server side, looks to be their request and such but they are AFK at the moment and decided to load. Will attempt again and post when they return to see if they are not able to see me hosting.

#

They returned and we were able to connect and run a raid. Thank you for the help c:
