#How to get a currently fine server setup onto another PC? Exact instructions required. Thanks.

We have been enjoying FIKA but we'd like to switch over to a new laptop but we're not sure where to start.

I understand most of the progress (aka our characters/inventory/quest progress) is tied to some json folder. But what else would be needed to be transferred over?

One of our guys has offered up a spare laptop to run the server at anytime, as the orginal host is often out...etc and he's sick of us bugging him 😄

As the laptop will just be running the server (no playing, just running the server) will that PC also need Tarkov installed, and duplicated via the SPT Duplicator? Or can we get away with somehow just running the server. This laptop isn't great, but I get the impression we may have to do this.

TL:DR . We wanna take our character progress from our original friends setup who hosts the server on his PC, onto a spare laptop and continue our progress but are unsure of the exact steps - any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

don't take my word for it, since im no staff here but i can provide a recommendation or two

#

so, whoever your host is

#

idk if its you or a friend

#

but your character profiles are saved on the hosts' profile folder

server/user/profiles
that's the entire progression save for each user

and its only on the host's profile folder

#

you could take the mods, bepinex folder, and the profiles from it

#

put it on a usb or something, then put it on the laptop and hope that it works

#

seems like a way to do it anyway

#

i'd also recommend installing SPT on that laptop the normal way

the server itself doesn't need tarkov

yeah but just to make sure i'd think

#

things are fucky i'd rather play it safe

#

its not the biggest of things to install live, run it once then install spt, put the files in and run the server

#

realistically it should work, but don't take my word for it
