Thats not a problem thats the intended feature to replicate live tarkov, pmcs dont spawn mid raid, if thats a problem for your play style change to another like live-like or impossible
i personally love impossible raids with pmc temrinators sain preset, some tweaks of my own but generally combat every 5 min
ya but budd, in a the real tarkov 10 12 pcm gonaa spam in ur raid, but ur server gonna create like 6 - 7
then open you scenario config and adjust, swag is built off the ability to customize it in the config

i use impossible cap at 22 with donuts controlling 16 scav and pmc and the rest left for swag
boss* have a 90% chance on my sever so i left head room
60-90 fps with drops to 50 after an hour in raid
marksmen are 90% as well

smaller counts with higher despawn parameters could help, but im unfamilar in trying that out

I can't understand one thing. If host dies, bots still spawn near his location where he died? Does swagnuts takes into account whether the player died?
@restive flame I'm getting a lot of [Debug :DonutComponent] No valid spawn position found - skipping this spawn and it feels like not much is spawning. Big difference from 3.3.4
And ideas why it doesnt find any positions?
It’s failing spawn checks, check the methods in the spawnchecks.cs

Yeah with swag donuts. Essentially I want all bosses to spawn on their maps with a slight chance of them spawning on others. I was just curious as I did a reserve raid earlier and glukhar spawned but boss notifier said that killa spawned at idea.
On the note of more bosses with swag. Is 1% the lowest you can go?

Just drop the bepinex and user folders into your root spt folder and it will all end up in the right directories

Swag handles everything that is not a pmc or scav. Donuts is pmc scav spawns only. So leave between 6 to 8 extra slots on swag bot caps depending if a map has raiders, rouges and bosses, sniper scavs ect.
does adding extra time to the raid conflict with swag/donuts in any way? been noticing unusual activity with ~30 minutes extra raid time compared to vanilla
id have to assume some of the mod's logic spawns pmcs/scavs in relation to the "phase" of the raid
No it's designed to go indefinitely
It definitely goes as long as you are in, we have 2 hr raid timers set and there are always "friends" around.

That is because the package.json in the SWAG folder is set only for version 3.8.0. You can just change that to 3.8.1 and it won’t show the error anymore. It’ll still work regardless.

Correct, that is questing bots detecting SWAG so it disables its own spawning.

anyone familiar with this type of issue?
I have been using ServerValueModifier to increase the amount of bots per raid. However after 1 or 2 hours in a raid, becasuse of the increase in activity i have a severe drop in performance. Starting the raid ill have 120 fps, at the end of the raid with 50+ bots active and fighting i can dip to 30 or less frames. Obviously this is a somewhat bad experience late raid. I was suggested to incorporate SWAG + Donuts to improve performance on my end, by minimizing the activity in the raid that i do not need. It seems no matter what i do as far as configuration, SWAG + donuts causes no spawns whatsoever, besides raider/bosses. Now i have empty raid consistently (besides bosses/raiders). What am i missing here?
I have tried uninstalling SWAG + Donuts, then I get the expected raids I want (a lot of activity), but my performance dips after too many bots are spawning and getting active. Are SVM and SWAG/Donuts incompatible? On SVM i have the 'bots disabled' as recommended to not cause any isssues. Should i stop using SWAG+Donuts and take a different mod approach like AI limiter? I would like to keep SVM as having flea on lvl 1 is nice, among other things

Thanks for the response. I think my issue was misuse and misunderstanding how Swagnuts work. I believe this functionality was caused by enabling global minimum spawn distance and having ranges so small nothing would spawn unless i ran into that zone (i was playing on reserve on default 50m value). I am still trying to dial in on using the mod correctly to get enough spawns near me without causing significant performance drop.
I belive all the mods i have isntalled are (in no particular order):

I dont think i understand best use and the good use cases for swagnuts yet. I finally got some good action by doing the following:
- Raid Preset Selection for PMC/Scavs - edited json files to bump numbers from default to 10/15+
- for some reason all the default presets have the same value conigs (quiet raids same values as crazy raids, maybe a mistake?) - Enabled the suggested: Depawn SCAVs, Bot hard Cap Options, Hot Spot Spawn Boost, Hot Spot ignore hard cap
- At the start of the raid Global minimum spawn distance from player and other bots disabled.
- If I understand correctly, this makes unrestricts spawns, making a shit ton of bots spawn. When too many bots spawn and my performance tanks, I enable these options. Performance comes back relatively quickly as scav bots far away seems to despawn. If i am understanding this correctly it seems I can enable/disable Global Mimimum Spawn Distance mid-raid to help supplement a lack of bots, or to remove excess bots when my performance is tanking. @restive flame

I apologize if it’s been stated somewhere already, but how does Questing Bots mechanics and spawn allocation work into this? Or is it just making it so that all AI (outside of I I imagine raiders rogues and bosses) have objectives to move them around the map
I saw the performance reccomendations on the interaction between swagnuts and mpt but wasnt sure where qb fits in to that equation
Qb spawns automatically are disabled if swagnuts is installed.
Then yes the AI will move to questing areas, apparently they can even unlock doors...

I saw it at one point but now I see a message that says something about advanced config will ignore vanilla eft etc etc
The server will specifically say when swagnuts is detected and qb spawns are disabled

ive ignored this message as everything seems fine at the moment but should i be worried? some of the other mods throw the same error but they are working atm(tm) i just presume that they can break at anytime?

Perchance are you on fresh install? And did you run server at least once before trying to install mods?
My suggestion is to either remove all mods, add them back in 1 by 1. After putting each mod in, start server to see if it loads. I did that when i was first trying out, solved a few of my problems

Try this and set whatever preset you want to use to 6 pmcs and 12 scavs in scenario config for donuts. Should be plenty of scavs around

If your fps is still low ypu can lower the PMC count, tik on pmc despawns, and lower scav count.

how do i make another mod's spawnrate config get prioritized over the SWAG one
because a boss I have from the RogueJustice mod refuses to spawn with swag because swag insists to use their config instead of the one for the mod specifically
and it says it has a spawn chance increase per successfull raid mechanic where in SWAG it will not load the game unless you write true on this mechanic in the JSON and if it is true it wont spawn the boss

just select "high" and call it good, 0% 0/500 chance of a solo PMC, 175/500 odds 3 man, 175/500 odds of a 4 man, 75/500 odds of a duo or 5 stack.
not sure why the total value is not just 100 rather than 500 but its all just %

I usually fly around in free cam near the clients when i get killed 1st. Not sure if that helps or makes any difference at all

I can say that camera position doesn't matter. We kill host at the beginning and its camera stays at the edge of the map for better fps. Bots spawn near us during the raid, so it's fine.
I was playing a raid last night and I died and we were playing on shoreline. No more bot spawning occurred for the rest of the raid. All the bots that were alive remained where they were. Are you using a BotDebug tool to confirm what you are saying?
I can also tell in the source files for Donuts that it is not accounting for other coop players when spawning which I’m going to look at patching for myself today.
BotDebug doesn't work for me when there more than 1 players, but I see bots with QB bot debug info and I see how they are spawning. We did a test where host dies and another player teleports to the farthest side of map and bots spawned near him and continued to spawn.
But, I'm on previous version of swagnuts, not last alpha

I think Fika may not be taking into account other players when doing its own despawning. Time to dig deeper!
I enabled despawn only in donuts and only for scav. I haven't tried Fika despawn tho
@upper elm maybe you can help with this. I have the same setup as explained in the Performance Readme you made, but last night after I died as the host, it seemed like the Fika despawning was not working for my friend. Is it safe to just use the SWAG+Donuts despawning, I thought I remembered it may cause desync in visible bots between players.
How to Make 1 Specific Spawn Point in donuts to spawn only 1 bot then turn off for the rest of the match? Im add custom boss spawn but the hardstop timer wont work on them.
I dont want to use first time spawn and then add a big timer trigger so that it wont spawn, because i want it to spawn at a specific time of the raid too.
If you want a specific time like that then use swag for it
but swag use old zone
Otherwise you’ll have to set it up like the starting pmc points, but you can make it a short distance so it doesn’t trigger unless you’re close

Make it whatever specific time you want, the timer will keep ticking but if you’re just recording then it doesn’t matter

hey guys - I just spectated a raid on this setting on and no new scavs are spawning at all - The AI PMC's killed 5 scavs and left 2 on the map and I spectated for 20mins on reserve and nothing new spawned - I have attached my DONUT settings to post

Not confirmed (yet), but it seems Donuts will only spawn bots based on the host's position
If the host extracts, bots spawn based on their last position (the headless body you will see still present in raid, at extract)
If host dies, it seems to stop spawning bots altogether

Also, you may want to update QB to the most recent test build

Anyobody having an issue with clinets not having PMCs spawning? I nromally host for my freind, but when he plays solo he gets no PMCs.
If he is playing solo (hosting his own raid) it takes into account his setup for Donuts. If he normally has it disabled when you host, he will need to enable it to get PMC/Scav spawns
We did try it with DOnuts on! I will go through his settings to see what is up.
If host dies bots still spawn near other player locations. we are playing for several days now and haven't noticed much problems with it. I run 2 clients, 1 for hosting bots and 2nd for playing and we kill the host right at the beginning and it's fine.

It seems that this issue has only appeared after updating to 3.8.1, might be related to newly implemented Fika despawn system

Each raid is a seperated instance, so you would have to host your own instance for the scav run

not possible is strong phrasing. I don't know if it's possible, but at the moment it would just put you in your own hosted raid and probably mess things up with the server

You are right, it is taking other players into account after looking at the code. For some reason it wasn't despawning bots for my buddy that was still alive though, so not sure what is going wrong.
May build a debug build to get some logs printing out

Just to follow on from this me and my mates did some testing. I was alive and they were all dead. Pmc starting more scavs on customs. I edited Jsn file so it was set to 40 max scav bots. I cleared most the map and nothing new spawned for 25 mins. Any ideas guys? The raids seem dead

yeah that’s normal base game behavior, bosses are spawned by swag, min distance only applies to donuts spawns, so pmcs and scavs

I am on the latest SPT, latest Fika, Latest Realism, and latest Swag. For some reason I can't get any bosses to spawn, even if I edit the boss config in swag. I have realism boss spawn tweaks disabled.

Make sure your dynamic AI range isnt too small. He usually spawns a bit away and then runs in.

So swagnuts caches a lot of bots at the start of a raid if I understand correctly. Is this caching async, or will it cause the game to freeze while it happens?
50 % of the time It hangs on raid start for about 8 seconds for me but never crashes. Sometimes it just smoothly starts raid
So, I've tried to look into it myself but I'm still seeing my game drop to around 30fps after about 10mins in raid after adding SWAG + Donuts to my server. Does anyone have any tips on how to fix?

Turn off looting/questing bots, those are performance killers
or adjust you cap / despawn settings to be more accustomed to what your pc can handle, sometimes the default 20-24 cap is too much and making it lower around 16-18 with better despawn specs can help

I think something weird it's going on with 3.8.1. I was playing fine until I've decided to update to 3.8.1 and now my raids are dead. I use only strarting pmc preset, for instance in interchange i've set up 8 pmc to spawn and 14 scavs. Sometimes I only get like 3 pmc spawning and a random number of scavs but never close to 14.

Its in the scenario config json in donuts folder. Id recommend trying 6 pmcs snd 9 scavs to start with make sure you have despawn bots on in f12

we're going to make it so that donuts only caches the exact amount of bots/profiles we need for each raid, saving on performance/time and making spawns much faster at the start

Spawn Cap from Fika (settings on screenshot) - 3 scavs at start, no more spawns, maybe after 3-4 restarts spawns will work, when i activate SWAG's Cap (Enforced Spawn Limits = false in Fika) - 6-7 pmcs and 9-10 scavs at start and full raid of bots and waves.
My main idea - 5-7 bots in SWAG settings and flexible cap in Fika settings for all types of teammate's PC.
These settings makes ground zero and reserve unplayable for me. Every second I get a micro hiccup stutter

I use Bot Hardcap and Despawn settings, it will make lower quantity of waves, because hardcap will block more bots to spawn and when i see on Streets 16 bots, it will be 16 everytime, it will not lead to more spawns. No neccesary spawns - no freeze

Alright I fixed the stuttering, it was the donuts preset for pmcs. It spawned nonstop pmcs and scavs. With Starting Only it's smooth
I followed your settings guide on the latest beta version but I left the individual map caps in fika and donuts as default. The performance difference is night and day, raids are lively enough too

I think Time Weather changer fcks up Donuts Timer. If i don’t use it at the start of the raid. They spawn exactly at specific time. If i change time, the timer is inconsistent

Don't limit Questing Bots, only AI Limiter checkmarks, and you will get alive raids with some sleeping bots for extra fps, got 60-70 with high moments of 80-90 fps on Streets from 40-45 without it. (90-100 fps on official usually).
In Fika Core setting you can limit bots. SWAG config can be not touched at all.
Every PMC on map will get AI Limiter zone, so, PMC in 1000 meters from you can move and shoot too (because their zones activate scavs and spawns), other scavs chill in AFK when not touched by AI Limit zone
Thx to DanW, who updated AI Limiter for Fika, Limiter will not work for clients on QB 0.5.0 hosts

Isn't 200meters a bit too low for some maps ? For example what will happen if you want to go for some sniping on woods ? I guess you will spot some freezed bots in your scope. Could be nice to have this limiting option configurable per map

You can easily activate and deactivate bots on distance without restart just moving a slider

300 meters nice number, it check your teammates and them have 300m radius too, so they can run away from you and will activate bots and spawns near them. You can add some meters to PMCs in first line

I'd really like a setting to disable the AI limit, when the match reaches a certain low bot threshold.
For example, when only 10 bots remain on the map.
The whole point of donuts is to keep raid alive all the time - when bot dies, a new one will be spawned in it's place. So for most people there will be little use of such option

I have a feeling my donuts isn't working properly, it seemed to be fine but more recently it just feels like less bots are spawning than should be
- Questing Bots Settings, Installed 0.5.1 Alpha 2 from GitHub. No need to limit Questing Bots, this lead to alive PMC bots at any distance which activate SCAVS and they spawn near them too like near player.
- Donuts Settings, little boost for spawns, but not sure it works or not, Mininal Spawn Distance from player enabled ( or you want raiders spawn in 5m front of you on Reserve?)
- Fika Core settings, BUT i guess Despawn system didn't works, so just enabled. But Spawn Limits works perfect, enabled and works normally.
One moment. If you disable Spawn Limits in Fika, SWAG will spawn bots right after start timer, if you enable it, spawn will be splitted like 3 bots at start and new wave with microlag spawn in next 10 seconds (like on official when you lag after game start).

I just noticed on your screenshot that you are using donuts preset "staring PMC's only" combined with fika despawner. In my understanding it creates situation where PMC's only chance to spawn is at the raid beginning and then, they can be quickly despawned making your raid empty. Am I wrong ?
EDIT: I just tested and I'm wrong in that case. When questing bots are enabled, fika is not despawning pmc's no matter what - so there is probably some deeper logic in this

The current official Questing Bots release is not compatible with MPT, which is why you're getting those errors. You can test the 0.5.1 Alpha 2 build on my GitHub repo, which should fix this. Just keep in mind that all players in the raid will need to use it, not just you.

- Does donuts need swag to operate properly? The host of the server i play on doesnt have it atm but i turn on donuts when i host a raid on his server.
- Should i have despawning disabled in fika core?
- The host of the server i played on had ridiculous boss spawns, like having bloodhounds, glukhar, rogues and shturman in customs. This was fixed when we removed swag for some reason?
Theres some kind of bot limit that works, however i want bots to spawn around me so i have activity just within about 200m of my range

I am having the same issue, the bosses arent spawning even when having the spawn rate at 100 percent
Without Fika it works, also with SWAG or BetterSpawnsPlus I've seen bosses, but with Questing+Fika it doesn't work.
I just did a small test by changing reshala chance to 100% on customs in SWAG config and boom, he is here.
Using questing bots + looting bots + swag/donuts + realism + sain + fika and a bunch of other mods - all in the most recent version possible
So it's working just fine

I've been using it on 3.8.1 can't really say I've had issues other than something to do with tier 2 marksman no spawning correctly with a mosin
But doesn't affect raids in any way really since it just falls back and chooses something else, probably just something with realism and this combined
i tried installing SWAG+Donuts before with my clients about a week ago and we were all unable to even open up tarkov, so thats why im waiting for a stable release of donuts out of beta, before retrying

Changing "delay_game_start_until_bot_gen_finishes" from true to false spawns bosses again.
is the pinned comment on the version you posted here or the hub one? i can't get legion to spawn (99.5%) and also didn't meet any bosses for 30+ raids

Question in regards to sacrificial host on server PC and Swag/Donuts. SO i host on the server pc we all join and spawn in we then kill the host. How does bot spawning work now that the host is dead and technically still at spawn? Does it use the other players positions for spawning? Or deactivating based on distance? or is it all tied to the host?
Raid host handle all npc and can't leave raid till everyone extract/die and press f8 to leave the raid. If host loose connection all npc are brainded and stand in one place and theres no new spawns and connection between players are broken. They still can finish the raid/ loot and do quests but no coop and no npc
Also bot spawn around players and you can change at what range they will disable ai and despawn

Can’t tell you for sure but playing with friends we figured out it takes distance from connected players. But we play with no ai cap and more spawning in hot zones

Both WaveScenarios are disabled as a client, maybe you can utilize that? Or I could try disabling the entire BotsController for clients and you could check that. Let me know what you need when you look at it.

does donuts consider the location of clients when spawning? Setup a raid host on a separate computer and we had a case of bots spawning really close even though minimum distances were set to 45 for players and bots

Check the hotspot override. Those being enabled SEEM (and Nooky can tell me if Im just crazy) to not respect the spawn distance. We run Traveler and with those on, loading in at Warehouse 17 we almost always have bots rushing us instantly from Crackhouse. With them off, the spawns respect the distance limit I have set.
also 45m is MUCH closer than you think it is. Distances in Tarkov feel much further than they are.
Anyone getting no bosses or sniper scavs, I've found the current version of SVM is causing issues with SWAG even if you follow the compatibility section on the spt website. If you have any 'raid settings' enabled at all, it prevents snipers and bosses from spawning, even if you literally untick every option in the section

Havent seen that personally, at least on 3.8, havent updated past that yet.
the only error I see with SWAG regularly is the marksman 2 error but we definitely get snipers and bosses

anyone got any config/setting suggestions. dont know how many max bots to allow and ect and how to setup no despawning or despawning in a way that when i run to the gunfight i here they alrdy despawn
@dull dragon in the donuts scenario config set your bot limits I find 8 pmcs and 10 scavs is pretty good for live like experience with the settings above. In Swag config set the bot cap to them sum of your donuts cap + 4, +7 on reserve and lighthouse is a good place to start.
For factory disable pmc spawn hard stop or lower the limit.

I have noticed this as well but i dont have raid settings toggled. I have other stuff so maybe its not the same issues. What is similar is thati havent seen any sniper scavs or bosses in a long time now.
its not SVM, I have stuff in that section turned on and it works fine. I get sniper scavs and bosses regularly. Check Realism and basically everything else that touches spawns.
had another case today of a scav spawning under 5m away, this was with hotspot boost and ignore hardcap turned off
seems that that ignore hardcap spawns under ur nose cause after toggle it on it start happening (or just "lucky" timing)

yeah, I usually just have the extract settings ticked, which is why I think its some sorta bug with either mod. nothing spawn related is ticked. even tried removing the spawning related code from SVMs mod.ts and it would still happen until raid settings is unticked which is weird

are you running with the in-tarkov raid setting "Amount of AI" as none? I've been doing that cause it spawns an absolute horde of bots on any other setting (and the donuts documentation says to.... but maybe I read that wrong hah)

having anything under SVMs "raid settings" has been causing no snipers or bosses to spawn, even if I disable every option inside of it, and every other mod I have running. live-like-alt with 100% boss spawn on customs. toggling raid settings to off makes bosses spawn again
labbed it over about 25 raids
but apparently it works for Gorilla which is wild

All you have to do is check SVM and make sure no settings touch spawning AT ALL

i've noticed that sometimes my clients will have a different selected preset from mine pop up at the bottom right than I do when we load into a raid. that doesn't actually affect anything as I'm the host right?

I've been testing it today and from what I can gather the spawn limit enforcement in fika prevents swag/donuts from spawning which prevents the fika despawn from ever being used because swag/donuts is never spawning more than the enforced limit

i've finally updated to 3.8.3 with a fresh install. Now bots seem to spawn right next to me even tho i have enabled the "Global minimum spawn distance from player". A bot spawned literraly next to me. What gives?

Same. PMCs can also spawn next to you. It happened to us on Customs and Factory. We're using Swag+Donuts with, SAIN, Lootings bots and Realism but no Questing Bots.
I ended up going back to 3.8.0 for the time being had better luck in that build

It was happening on our side as well, we deleted all the configs for questing bots and swag, donuts. Reinstalled them for just to be sure, only activated the hard cap and they somehow stopped doing that, not really sure why. We've had some scavs spawning on top of us on factory but they weren't rushing us or smn. We have sain, looting bots, realism as well.
It's.. Weird to pinpoint things on tarkov as almost everything is random.
I never saw problems with boss spawns, desync, or anything odd in 3.3.5 and 3.8.0. I use minimal mods though. I actually had worse frames on a few maps on 3.8.3 so I went back.
So after updating from 3.8.0 to 3.8.3, everything seems to spawn regardless of settings and the host pc is slowing to a crawl. Any leads?
For me woods was good performance but reserve was awful....
I'm not sure exactly what might cause it, but IIRC, there was a DLL needed specifically for fika. It worked on our end when it was "MPT", but now it is all "Fika". Maybe that's the reason somehow? @restive flame

Hey so, for the new live-like performance setting, its been working great on every map except woods, on that map The spawns were all really far away from us, usually 400 to 600 units away. I've been looking for a way to despawn things that are that far away and focus on spawning things that are closer when possible, but I'm not sure how to set that up
Right now despawning only really matters for when you're hitting the cap, and with the new settings, it never comes close to hitting the cap
im not aware of any fika-specific build

After doing some testing with boosted hotspot spawning turned off, it does not seem to resolve the issue of bots spawning next to me and my teammates.
It happened twice in a few minutes just outside of green keycard room.
I died yesterday because it literally spawned the goons directly in front of me in customs and they immediately mowed my ass down lmao
It was the funniest shit, I just saw them materialize into existence right in front of me and I died

Happening to me too. PMC bot spawned directly on top of us at map load, proceeded to shoot me through a solid wall and 1 tap me in the head, then killed my buddy through the same wall
They are 100% ignoring the minimum spawn distances and I really want to find out how/why
For me it never happened with 3.8.0/3.8.1 + Fika, only started seeing them spawn next to us after the upgrade to 3.8.3. Turning off hotspot settings and setting a hard cap seems to help though
