#black screen after enrolling mok

The hardware I'm trying to install secureblue on is AMD 9800x3d + NVIDIA 5070-TI

I verified the checksum after download

I used fedora media writer to write secureblue-kinonite-nvidia-open-hardened-20251106 to a usb flash drive

I selected something like "check and install" in the install bootloader

I went through the setup, chose to use FDE, and reboot.

After reboot, I enrolled mok with the key secureblue

After another reboot this message (see image) appears for a few seconds and then black screen

Thanks for taking a look

you can temporarily drop specific kargs by pressing e when grub shows

graceful dove
#

ok. I will try that right now

I tried but the screen is still black

still nebula
#

very strange

#

can you try disabling secure boot and dropping both those kargs

graceful dove
#

Not sure if it's related but i did install nvidia driver for kde fedora

graceful dove
#

And I had to enroll a mok key

still nebula
#

i thought you were on secureblue

graceful dove
#

I am

#

But that's what I did before i got secureblue

still nebula
#

shouldn't matter

graceful dove
#

It works now

graceful dove
still nebula
#

boot the system

#

we'll go from there

graceful dove
#

Im able to get on the desktop now

still nebula
#

ok cool

#

can you

#

mokutil --sb-state

#

and mokutil --list-enrolled

graceful dove
#

mokutil --sb-state returns secureboot disabled

#

And mokutil there are 3 keys for --list-enrolled

still nebula
#

also can you nvidia-smi

graceful dove
#

Ill get you those names

still nebula
#

more than likely this is some weirdness with this particular mobo

graceful dove
#

I have the msi b850vc

still nebula
#

bios i mean

graceful dove
#

Latest bios

still nebula
#

lots of manufacturer-specific stuff here

graceful dove
#

I have 2 more im trying to crop out the actual key values lol

still nebula
#

our key is enrolled

#

so

#

the key is gonna be figuring out how to get secure boot properly enabled

#

for your machine

graceful dove
#

I did disabled secure boot for a minute trying to get qubes os working before this

#

It also did not work

still nebula
#

sometimes turning it off and back on works

#

weirdly

#

otherwise, you can try resetting it, booting secureblue like before, enrolling the key, then reenabling it

#

some systems have buggy secure boot implementations

graceful dove
#

Ill try that. Should I still edit the command list

still nebula
#

if you have to reset or disable secure boot, then it will be necessary

graceful dove
#

Sorry about the delay my monitor decided to do some maintenance and I couldnt see

#

But you're right i turned on secureboot and that just fixed it

graceful dove
#

But thanks for your help
