Hello! I have bad performance on rtx 3050 with nvidia-open , so i want to find out whats the proper way to install nvidia proprietary drivers, without breaking anything.

(and select the proprietary Nvidia drivers rather than the open drivers)

FYI, the open drivers are the officially supported nvidia drivers for that card

#

and they still largely require proprietary bits despite the name

#

I would expect worse performance with nvidia-closed

#

you should make sure that the drivers are actually being loaded on open @edgy marten

#

i kind of doubt it, if you're seeing bad performance

#

you're probably using the foss drivers instead of nvidia-open

Right now, i am using silverblue-nvidia-open-hardened:latest. I gonna test a bit more the gpu performance, but it in cs 2 , the gpu was running in 50% usage.I will test it today again.I know that proprietary drivers give better stability/1% lows.
