what?
did you execute the command that the ujust command tells you to run?
at the end it gives you a command to run after rebooting
if you skip it, it will break
it's in this quote
no prob
all good
glad it's working
@crimson zinc run run0
then after you're in a root shell
type cat /etc/yum.repos.d/brave-browser.repo
run chmod 644 /etc/yum.repos.d/brave-browser.repo
then
run exit
then
run rpm-ostree install brave-browser

providing support for a worse browser
brave's command is broken
np
cool
what's preventing you btw?
youtube adblock?
mainly fingerprinting, but if I can fix that with extensions I'd happily switch
not really a thing that can be fixed outside of tor browser
anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something ๐
I know brave isn't Tor level, but I have some quite unique specs and want to stop at least the basic scripts yk
yeah that's true
no that's not how it works
if tor browser is akin to getting a prescription from a doctor
brave's anti-fingerprinting is like getting a "miracle cure" from the quack down the street
it's not "halfway there"
it's not a solution to the problem
if mullvad browser was more secure, would that be a good option?
i dont know how to answer this lol
you mean for the tor integration?
no
for anti fingerprinting
if your priority is anonymity, you need tor browser
there are no comparable options
there is lots and lots of snakeoil in this space
damn, that's fair
it's overwhelming
I see
Disable hardware accel, it hides your gpu specs for reduced perf
yes, that's one of the first things I do, thanks though!
a
im sorry i tend to clear out old messages for privacy
alright
although here's the solution
