Battling an audio not working after suspend issue and edited my grub.cfg but it won't let me update grub. Am I doing something wrong?

grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/fedora/grub.cfg
Running grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/fedora/grub.cfg' will overwrite the GRUB wrapper. Please run grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg' instead to update grub.cfg.
GRUB configuration file was not updated.

grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
/usr/bin/grub2-probe: error: failed to get canonical path of `composefs'.

it's not something you are doing wrong

#

it's something caused by f42 it seems

#

i've raised the changes made in another project in my existing issue whiich should be able to be applied to secureblue at some point in the near future

if you do, you should be able to use grub mkconfig in the f41 image as expected until a fix is made

in that case you'll need to wait for the fix to be made in secureblue

Can’t I just unpin it and rerun it?

no, that isn't going to fix the issue. it appears the bug was caused in fedora 42

#

that's why i said if you have a fedora 41 image pinned, you can boot into it and remake the config in fedora 41
