Plenty of people hate playing Retributionist due to how easy it is to get mislynched by it and being useless most games so here is something I came up with

  • The Retributionist can choose themselves in the UI to raise a ghoul and make it visit a player to ward off evil energy, nullifying frames (if someome got enchanted, framed from curse or reaped, it will prevent TI roles from seeing them as evil that night)
  • The ghoul can be seen by Lookouts and Trappers and shot by Veterans
  • The Tracker will see the Retributionist visiting themselves

If this idea seems interesting, discuss if this could be better optimised below

It could make the role not feel shit to play in many scenarios

It could be an extra something to work around earlier in the game and possibly get seen, the main purpose would still be dead townies

It feels like rolling retri in most gamemodes your first thought would be to fakeclaim something else or you will get tunneled and mislynched

I mean, Ghoul is neat idea, but it shouldn't interact with frames IMO

If the ghoul is seen do they just see the player's number or do they see "a ghoul"
