Any role that TP would want to protect, even if it’s weak or common for TPow to fake is a good fake imo, Seer, Psy, Coro (after update), basically all TP, Soci, Tav are my go-to claims
even if you were meant to hit a UO you can copout honestly, or you could go for the double fake “oh I’m not Spy I’m Seer” makes town trust you just enough until you need to reveal

It's only supposed to buy you time. Regardless of what you claim, it's not going to last and only serves as a disguise until the opportune moment. Claim whatever you want, but don't claim tk unless you absolutely know what you're doing. It's expected that you'll be voted more often than cov anyways because you dont have a faction to back you. My best advice is to be active and push suspicious people

Some do, but it makes you an easy target. It is usually done if there are TPs to protect you.

Conjurer, Auditor, and SS practically shut down TPLO as a strategy to protect open claiming tpow from evils. Fake claiming is more likely to get you into a position where you're actually needed

Simple: play the game a lot, preplan how you feel like mind gaming (usually it comes down to if you want to use reverse psychology or not), ignore the people saying "why fake claim this as that" because they have no clue what they are talking about.
Most importantly: Act like you are the most important person in the room. Town will never try to up you and evils might think you are a Veteran.
I have fake claimed Investigator and Psychic as Jailor and it had major payoffs because nobody ever expects it. You can also just claim tpow since in this economy (ck-cpow) the coven are honestly too weak to do anything most of the time.
