I don’t like the idea of an NP innately being forced to choose a faction to side with, they should have the option to have a strong ability that helps all evils semi-equally.
Giving powerful ethereal to a faction is also a bad idea, imagine you’re NK or something and attack a coven, but end up losing the game because an NP saved them.

I do think an NP that knows who's what at the start of the game could be interesting (with some restriction on communication, of course)
yk, I love the role it offered so much value to the evils and flavor, the invisibility really ties this all together.
Imo, that removes most of the skill expression of being NP. Reading the game to know your mates is what makes NP fun (at least for me)
I do think the NP should be built around it. For instance, I don't think a role like Judge should have knowledge of all the alignments of all players off the rip
Though I get how the uninformed minority role that sides with informed minority shouldn't know who the uninformed minority is from the start
