This was in a TAA game, i was killed N2 by the coven as pirate, when i should have had basic defence (it did show i had no defence, i just failed to notice before i encountered the bug so don't have a pic) so i was able to die N2. The loss of defence d3 message still showed however, suggesting i should have had defence but didn't.
PS, there were no other modifiers, such as fools fortune or any other reason i could have lost my defence
