Executioner rework:

  • Gets two targets
  • Only needs one to be hung
  • If no targets exist, leaves in defeat

Removes jesticutioner, having two targets means you don’t just lose when one gets confirmed. You still have to act before they both die, but it’s much less likely to happen before you have a good chance.

You gain two targets but you still replace your old ones after they die?

thick wadi
#

Yeahhhh I wanted to give a better chance

Still turns into evil Surv at the end of the day

Two targets is the main thing

Assuming a set rolelist with a known amount of Town (not AA), you can wait until evils have a comfortable majority to get your target hung

#

Evils know this and so will not really care whether or not they kill your target

thick wadi
#

Ah that’s a good point

#

I’ll remove that clause and make it just failure

That's why I dislike the vast majority of Exe reworks lol

It's considerably better, but it's also very similar to a rework Steeve made a while back

thick wadi
#

No idea who Steeve is

#

maybe I do

Steeve's rework got three potential targets, the ability to choose one of them d1, and the ability to switch the main target once per game

#

I think I prefer this. That’s too much control imo.

wind fog
#

Not really

#

Want me to send it?

Feels like addons on top of existing executioner than a rework (aka 🩹)

#

But sure

wind fog

You get three targets (you can randomly choose them or choose them directly d1)

Once per game, you can switch your target to one of the three you didn't choose (only if your main target is dead/confirmed)

#

If all three of your targets die/ your main target dies and you have no switches, you lose

thick wadi
#

Yeah, I still think it’s too much. Alternate win condition and target swapping feels like trying to patch up holes individually.

wind fog
#

Ehh, I think it just makes the game more dynamic

#

Choose a random target of three d1, if they die/become confirmed you go on the more suspicious of the other two and play around that

#

Though Exes that don't become evil survs are still nice

It still effectively is just two townies, one of which that you have get hanged, just with less set-up and night 1 RNG. It forces the exe to read the game state more and express more skill than just giving it to the exe, rather than just being able to chase two rabbits at once. I had the alt wincon there because I thought if you fooled a townie with an attack, you should be rewarded for it rather than punished for it like how current exe is (though it was kinda poorly done).
