#Coven Leader balance changes

These changes are meant to make CL a more balanced-yet centralized cpow and be a bit more dynamic with its team.

1. Coven Leader no longer has basic defense
Why:

  • CL has literally zero reason to have defense ever since its s3 rework. All it does is making u immune to half the TKs for no reason. Removing it is a must.

2. Coven Leader may no longer retrain players into CK nor CPOW
Why:

  • CL being able to retrain players CPOW into CK and vice versa is just bad. Especially with ranked where there is already another CK. Making CL only being able to retrain players into Common Coven forces the player to make a choice between keeping CKs around or turning them into a role they need more.

3. Retrain now has infinite charges
Why:

  • While this may sound OP at first and it kind of is. It allows CL to be a more dynamic role by constantly swapping coven roles that are-in play to benefit the coven and confuse the town a lot more. Right now, CL feels like "my role is shit, plz change then change yourself into a CK". This and change 2 solves this problem and makes CL a more dynamic role to their team.

While I agree with the first and second changes (idk how to feel about the third), I'd like to comment on them

I believe Curtis or smth said that the reason they still have defense is so they have an incentive to not always make their second retrain themselves. The third change does make up for it ig

Pretty sure this was originally a thing in modded, but got changed when reworked CL became vanilla.

I feel like the first 2 changes are good, and cl would probably need something to compensate for its huge loss, idk if the 3rd change is it. I think its good though.

CKs are supposed to be mutually exclusive.

Alot of problems are not as obvious as people like to flaunt until you actually play with it for an extended period of time.

"Too Weak" is not actually the main deal.

CL would still be good even if all coven were relatively equally powerful and perfectly balanced, because it's about picking the right tool for the job.

CL also won't be able to become Conjurer after the bugfix (when there's already a CK) so things are gaming pretty well
