Note: The buffs are mutually exclusive.

Potential Buff 1:

NEW ABILITY: Prospect

  • It's a special toggle that allows you to ONLY see non-Town possessing Detection Immunity.
  • With this toggled, you can detect Neutral Killings, Coven holding the Necronomicon, solo Apocalypse/Berserker, and Neutral Specials.
  • With this toggled, you CANNOT detect Coven without the Necronomicon, Neutral Evils, Neutral Pariahs, non-Berserker Apocalypse on a team, or Egotist Town.
  • Jester remains undetectable in both cases.
  • Frames make you look Sus in both cases.
  • Illusions make you look Not Sus in both cases.

Potential Buff 2:

Passive ability: Ascertain

  • Visiting a target twice will allow you to bypass any Detection Immunity.
  • Ascertain will NOT bypass Illusion.
  • Ascertain will NOT see Jesters as Sus.

Option 1: 1️⃣
Option 2: 2️⃣
Both are fine: 👍
Neither are good: 👎

i do not think sheriff actually needs this itself, but rather this is just a detection immunity issue

#

detection immunity does too much against too little

I mean, det immunity is realistically a Sheriff only thing

#

Since it only affects it

Yeah

#

IF anything, then I'd say buff 1 and rename detection immunity

#

Since it's very misleading

#

Or improve det immunity coverage

High Profile, maybe?

#

"Your target is innocent, or is too High Profile to be persecuted!"

#

And with the Prospect toggle, "Your target is innocent, or is too Low Profile to be found!"

This seems like an overly convoluted solution

This is purely just a bandaid fix for "Sheriff should have use after 3 coven die", no?

regal pelican
#

Basically yeah

dapper blade

Which I don't think solves the issue of Sheriff

#

Sheriff is meant to have a false negative

#

Giving it a way to bypass a moving false negative seems a lot more convoluted than just... making the false negative constant
