If a player is attacked by a role ability that is not a generic factional kill, the target will appear to have died due to collateral damage.

Not collateral damage:

  • Necronomicon kills
  • Direct Neutral Killing kills/rampages + Ignites
  • All apocalypse roles
  • Any other evil role who has killed directly

Collateral damage:

  • All town roles except for Deputy
  • Jinx
  • Ritualist

I’m aware Secret Killers exists but considering this is not default, there should at least be a middle ground for casual lobbies. Getting your role outted beyond all doubt is not fun, neither for you or for the other players. (in town’s case, it gives ritualist/doomsayer free dinner/in coven’s case, the CK slot is confirmed)

It's general killers. I feel like this could be a good middle ground. The second jinx gets a kill "FULL CLAIM FULL CLAIM"

If it becomes a modifier, it's almost never being used.

I could distinguish between town and coven kills but that does too little for coven hiding their identities imo

One thing i do want to say is that instead of collateral damage i'd prefer "Unknown Assailant" (from T.I.S.) for theming

True, since I doubt jailor exing you or vigi shooting you would be considered "collateral damage"
