Veteran - Town Killing

Attack: Basic Defense: None
Abilities
Place your Oversight on players
Go on Alert

Oversight (2)

Visit a player and Oversee them, passively Scoping all Evil players who visit them
You may select a second player Astrally to remove them from your Oversight
If a Scoped player visits your Overseen player, you attack them and consume a charge
If you visit a Scoped player you will attack them and consume a charge
If you run out of charges of this, you will lose your Alert charge
You will lose charges on attacking players

Alert (1, Special)

Stay home and Bounce all of your Town visitors
You will gain Basic defense and attack an Evil visitor
You will consume a charge of Oversight if you attack a player
You may not use this ability on the first night

Attributes

You prioritize attacking players who have been Scoped longer, then Attackers, then players who will die
You may have two players under your Oversight at a time
You will learn if you marked atleast one player
You will only attack one player at a time
You will learn who you attack

Tldr: Visit interception based Veteran with several bait mechanics stapled on so you can't just attack TK claim n2 (why does this have to be a thing)

Im not sure how this would interact in a TOS2 environment so adjustments may need to be made

Veteran - Town Killing

Entrench yourself in a house
Shoot players you are paranoid of

Entrench (2)

Visit a player and if you are Paranoid of any of their Visitors, you will attack them
You may protect yourself with this ability once per game, attacking an Evil visitor and Bouncing all Town on you
You will lose charges on attacking players

Scope (Day)

Mark a player during the day to be forcefully Paranoid of them
Selecting a player you selected previously will remove your Paranoia of them
You may select a new target once per day

Paranoia (Passive)

Evil visitors to your Entrenched target will make you Paranoid of them
You will learn if you become paranoid of atleast one player
You prioritize attacking players who you have been paranoid of longer

Attributes

Killing a town member will result in you putting your weapon away in guilt
You may Entrench yourself once per game
You will only attack one player each night
You will learn who you attack, if anyone

ok so im a bit confused, say like a pm reveal potions someone youve entrenched. if they were not paranoid already, they will be added to the paranoid list and become killable by your ability next time?

  1. This is a lookout not overloading problem (as proven with Spy)
  2. If the veteran alerts, every town player gets bounced
  3. Not getting feedback would make it kinda suck to play, though it still is viable

I definitely agree that putting an Unknown Obstacle at your own home needs to replace "Kill the Seer to hard conf yourself n1 👍 " meta

Yeah, take some more time to think about it, I think you are probably closer to a "good veteran" than I could get in my head, but I'll DM you the most important stuff for a good Veteran rework that I found in my endless thinking (Especially considering Veteran would probably never get a full redo/replacement from the ground up)

I like the idea of people changing Veteran (even though I know Vanilla Players will not like any change to Vet) this is interesting but I feel like it’s gonna be one of those “looks good on paper but is gonna suck ass”, I’ll still upvote it though.
