Plaguebearer in any mode is generally the worst apoc to have strength wise.
Berserker: War transformation and attacks
SC/WL: death
Baker: nuke + breads are useful
PB: claimbagging ability until pest

Goal:

  • make PB not a disappointment to the team
  • make pest tribunal worthy (debatable but one kill a night is weak in comparison, yes you almost shut down visits, but almost and then all visiting town become honorary vigis)

Plaguebearer
Neutral Apocalypse
No Defense
No Attack

Abilities:
Plague ( ♾️ / 🌙 )

  • Give a player the Plague at night, bringing you closer to becoming Pestilence by infecting everyone.
  • Players who visit Plagued players will become Infected. Players Plagued players visit will become Infected.
  • When all players are Infected or Plagued, you will transform into Pestilence.
  • Additionally, you will learn who infects who at night.

Pandemic ( 🌙 / Passive )

  • On full moon nights, Plagueed players will receive UO and have UO that night.
  • The next night they cannot be cured by Admirer, show the opposite result for Trespassing to Investigator, & show as PB to Spies.

Attributes:

  • All known allies start out with the plague.
  • At the third night of being Infected, Infection will turn into Plague.
  • Players retain their status of Infect & Plague when you transform.

Pestilence
Neutral Apocalypse
Invincible Defense
No Attack

Abilities:
Spread Pestilence ( 🌙 / ♾️ )

  • Add the maximum stacks of Pestilence to a player.
  • This bypasses Fortify, Jail, Smog, & Dueled.

Attributes:

  • You are disruption immune.
  • Players will succumb to Pestilence after they get 3 stacks of it. Players start with 1 stack.
  • Plagued players start with 2 stacks.

Note:

  • If not already horsemen should have detection immunity.

This isn’t perfect and with a few tweaks I think it’ll be fine and up with the other acolytes.

This is bad because it's utility and deception that is dependent on the phase of the moon and thus it's a bit predictable so long as enough players have been infected night 1.

It's an interesting concept but I'd try something you can control a bit better.

though giving Pesti a universal UO wouldn't make it much stronger.

Famine is a nuke
Death is a nuke
War is two kills a night + rampage with each kill

giving Pesti the ability to block visits does nearly nothing (unless if Town is all visiting the outed NP or TT or smthn)

How about this:

  • Raise the stack of Pestilence needed to kill to 4.
  • When a player visit another player (not you), both are inflicted with 1 stack of Pestilence (currently only the visited get inflicted).
  • At night, you may alternatively inflict 1 stack of Pestilence on everyone.
    • This give Town a maximum of 3 days to find Pestilence.
