#AFK Question

idk if this is a suggestion or question or not I just didnt wanna fill suggestions with this
Makes sense I was kind of leaning to like a afk necro holder situation
but yeah being ti and targetting and not giving info is also bad
You can just pass the book now tbf
But yes if anybody AFKs in a game they get suspended
It's against the rules to go AFK
got it thanks
If u see anybody doing it just report them and we will very kindly nuclear obliterate them 😁
gladly lol
What if people died if they were detected as AFK by the system (Something would be in place so you can still choose to do nothing though)
And even if there would be an implementation of said system, it would have to take into account if the necro holder is truly AFK or voluntarily not choosing to attack that night. Forcing Coven to always attack because of an indiscriminatory anti-AFK system completely nullifies various potential plays where Coven intentionally refuses to kill in order to drive certain narratives such as framing someone as CK.
This idea is also fundamentally flawed by itself, an example being that Vigilante & Monarch also have abilities which would force them to knight random targets (including evils) or shoot at random (including townies) if not properly regulated.
AFK players are a nuisance, but an Anti-AFK can become as equally as inconvenient for everyone (especially NKs that want to stay hidden until the end).
You could add a button to actively state that you do nothing, or check if the mouse is being moved and buttons are being pressed
if you need to ACTIVELY tell the game you're doing absolutely nothing to avoid an afk failsafe instead of doing nothing then that's just bad game design and anti-QoL
it's inconvenient at best, a possible deterrent at most
True, that's why I also suggsted to just have it passively check for mouse movements
I feel like people would still move around to check logs if they're not actually afk, and if they aren't afk, you can show a prompt for activity just in case
a passive afk failsafe would work, but again it shouldn't just actively select targets for you if you don't move at all
again, roles like vigilante and monarchs exist and their abilities used at random can be a massive detriment to town
this just favors afk CKs more than anything lol
cause if you're TI and afk failsafe triggers, like the info won't be shared anyway UNLESS a special circumstance where a spy (BTOS2) manages to bug you in time and you just so happen to die at the same time
nobody does this, if they do they should say their intent
OP worded it as such that it'd choose a target for you if you dont choose anyone
The thought of random targeting being “afk support” gives me a stomachache
so true
love it when i run to the bathroom as vigi and come back and die because the game made me shoot the mayor
I love saving the coven from a vigi because I was afk as bodyguard
kind of?
