Pretty sure shrouding is astral, shrouding someone who shrouds someone else forces you to attack the shroud as you wouldnt see them visit
@tardy yew has leveled up! (27 ➜ 28)
yes I do believe shrouding is technically astral
now say that ten times fast
Shrouding is an astral action as long as your target visits that night. Astral visitors have 'Visit Immunity' where they cannot be tracked, seen by LO, bypass Trap & BG (if visit is harmful) and so forth, which they'll be seen as not visiting.
Example:
Shroud A + Shroud B + Sheriff
(Scenario 1)
Sheriff Visits
Shroud B shrouds Sheriff
Shroud A shrouds Shroud B
Result:
Sheriff is not attacked, gains Basic Attack from Shroud B directly hitting visited target. Shroud B is astral and therefore Shroud A attacks Shroud B directly.
(Scenario 2)
Sheriff does NOT visit
Shroud B shrouds Sheriff
Shroud A shrouds Shroud B
Sheriff is directly attacked by Shroud B due to Sheriff not visiting, therefore becoming a direct visit.
Shroud A becomes astral and attacks Sheriff through Shroud B, theoretically giving Shroud B double __Basic Attack__s for that night.
Ironically enough, Admirers & Illusionists grant their target Astral property for one night, thereby forcing Scenario B to any shrouded target whether they visit or not.
@subtle dew
And FYI: SHROUD DOES NOT DIRECTLY ATTACK WHEN SUCCESSFULLY SHROUDING.
It only gives their target Basic Attack for that night IF they can visit, which is why Coroners can find killers to be non-killing townies like Invest or Sheriff.
It also explains why shrouded BGs and Trappers kill themselves when visiting, because they attack the target AND defend from that target at the same time.
hope that answers your question
Blossom please never ask about Shroud riding again
They don’t have astral if their target doesn’t visit
that is literally the first thing i said
Oh missed that
all goos
