Honestly, I don't think Rampaging at home is a bad idea to keep.
If you know people are going to be at your house, and you destroy wills, go ahead

I predict it would be a rarely used technique, but like theoretically if you know TI will be at your house, you would just channel that day
the one thing I feel is that the Channel DI would rarely be used tbh
in practice

So I think in the most balanced case there's Coven and the Jackal running around, sometimes you just need to lay low, especially if there's multiple seers. I'm chillin.
Hidden Werewolf where you just let them kill each other and eat the table scraps is a viable strategy.

so from what I understand this overhaul makes the WW a side-grade to the SK?
both of them have basic attack & defense, as well as maul RBers/jailor if someone ever jails/roleblocks them
the only difference between SK and WW in this overhaul is that WW can on-demand self-illusion + bloodlust for the next night but cannot stop themselves from killing RBers/jail while SK relies solely on momentum to gain bloodlust but is capable of being roleblocked/jailed without killing them by acting cautious
actually at that point it's not even a side-grade this is a straight SK upgrade
the main issue i have with this is that it just makes SK straight-up inferior

I do not actively follow news & updates and I only argue with knowledge that I currently possess in the present without the knowledge of guaranteed future changes
This is meant to be implemented alongside the planned SK rework

I like the control aspect, but in alot of cases couldn't this arguably be a nerf?
most nk's (Shroud primarily) feels nerfed in late game
It's a buff for the early game , and adds more consistency overall.
I don't think it's a Nerf because NKs without the stealth factor typically die early on.
I feel like you could tack on the infinite rampage n5 thing, by just saying "only n5 onward has full moons, you always rampage on full moons regardless of channeling. You can still channel if you wish."
But I don't really think that's necessary here, I think we should give this a try as is first.
I like what this rework goes for but I think without the scent tracking aswell you lose what little info you already have
and in alot of cases like lategame, this ends up worse than current WW

I had an idea that was this but you could toggle between being WW and a random ti minus coroner (ui issues)
could be a day ability for tracking

and the channel can be turned into passive
otherwise werewolf rampages are still luck based on who visits
I think the scent tracking information was tacked on to begin with, but it can be added back.

Imo Tracking is doable, this is technically a overall nerf in the sense that it has less constant rampages late game, as you mentioned
this is mostly a result of things brought up in #1289713020385099808 when we discussed werewolf, and the majority of opinion was that tracking was... not helpful much (I quote, "unactionable info") other than maybe faking tracker, which is also really scummy if people know it's a werewolf game

Goal: Kill everyone in the town.
Maul (ā¾ļø, š)
Select a player to Maul.
- You will deal a Basic Attack to your target.
- If you Channeled last night, you will Maul your target and their visitors, dealing a Powerful Attack to them. Selecting yourself will cause you to Rampage at home, Mauling any visitors.
- Failing to kill at least 2 players while Channeled will keep your Channeled status.
Channel (ā¾ļø, š)
Channel the moonlight to gather your powers.
- Select yourself with Maul while not Channeled or do not choose a target to Maul to passively activate this ability.
- You will appear to be town-aligned to any investigative results.
Scent (ā¾ļø, āļø)
Gain the Scent of a player to track at night.
- Choose a player to Scent during the night.
- You will receive your target's choices as they change, if any.
Attributes
- You are immune to Roleblock. If Roleblocked or Jailed, you will Maul the RBer/Jailor and wipe their will.
- You will show as Innocent to Sheriff.

definitely could use some fixes for sure, I might make it so that failing to kill at all period lets you channel
as a V2
I just think it should have scent and thatās all it needs to be balanced
personally looking back at it this could use a slight buff
Modern ww would be fine if it just had basic attack odd night along with scent and in exchange remove perma full moon past n4
But obviously that just makes long games take longer and short games be shorter

- Improved Channel to trigger passively if you fail to kill with Maul
Shouldnāt be able to have more than 1 track as this is still really powerful early game
