Jailor Jailor
TownPower Town Power

UnstoppableAttackAttack
NoneDefence

🏁 Hang every criminal and evildoer.

Abilities:

Jail a player, keeping them imprisoned until the end of the night.
Execute your Jailed target, stopping them from leaving in the process.

Attributes:

You may anonymously talk to whoever you have Jailed.

Jailed players may not be directly targeted by any effects.
Unstoppable Attacks will bypass this property.

Certain roles will counter-attack you when Jailed, unless you Execute them.
Serial Killers without Caution, Werewolves on Full Moons and War.
Attempting to Execute War will still get you counter-Rampaged, but will prevent them from performing their usual double kill.
Being counter-attacked, regardless of the perpetrator, will hide your Last Will.

You may not Execute a player on Night One.

If a Witch controls you, you will be forced to Execute your prisoner if they are non-Coven aligned - and forced not to Execute if they are Coven aligned.

Jail ☀️ | ♾️

Jail a player.
Jailed players will lose their access to any night chats they may have, but their factional allies [if they are Evil] will know that they were Jailed.
You will be able to anonymously talk to them.
They will be able to perform their action as usual, but actions that directly target them will be blocked by an Unknown Obstacle.
You may not Jail the same person consecutively.

Execute 🌙 | 2️⃣

Execute your prisoner.
This will deal an Unstoppable Attack to them.
The player you Execute will be Roleblocked.
If you Execute a Town-aligned player (unless you are non-Town aligned), regardless of their role, you will lose your ability to Jail.

Nerf Summary:

Execute now has two charges as opposed to three [This is meant to standardize it to Marshal in particular in that it adds 2 kills.]
Roleblocking is exclusive to when you Execute a player -- Jail does not passively Roleblock targets

#

me when you are controlled by the witch you jailed

#

causing you to execute them

#

causing them to no longer witch you

#

causing you to no longer execute them

#

causing you to be witched

#

and executing them

#

and everything breaks

west sphinx
#

This is still the Jack of all Trades role but got slapped on the wrist

deep jetty
#

man how does nobody understand why theres no direct night sources of superroleblock

deep jetty
#

thats a day ability

copper idol
#

easy fix tbh

#

If a Witch controls you, you will be forced to Execute your prisoner if they are non-Coven aligned - and forced not to Execute if they are Coven aligned.

deep jetty
#

there is several reasons why night superroleblock doesnt work

copper idol
#

Jailor in itself already super-roleblocks; this just moves Jailor's super-roleblock to be only on execution

deep jetty
#

nope

#

it doesnt fucking work

copper idol
#

fym nope

deep jetty
#

too many edge cases

#

you can't have a night ability that instantly superroleblocks

#

it just doesnt work

copper idol
#

role prio says what

deep jetty
#

its always a delayed superroleblock

west sphinx
copper idol
#

jail doesn't roleblock

#

in this nerf

deep jetty
copper idol
#

jail is a UO still but not a roleblock anymore

deep jetty
#

so make execute a regular roleblock

west sphinx
#

Then it’s more of a house arrest than a jail

deep jetty
#

because jailor isn't roleblock immune

#

so role priority means it has to be below roleblockers

deep jetty
#

but it is also a roleblocker with execute

#

so

copper idol
#

fair nuff

deep jetty
#

it doesnt work

#

since its a non-rb-immune roleblocker

copper idol
#

the general point of this nerf is to make it so jail in itself doesnt rb anyway

deep jetty
#

you either have to make jailor rb immune

copper idol
#

making it regular rb again is funny actually

deep jetty
#

or to remove rb entirely

copper idol
#

me staring as the poisoner who i jailed rbs me

deep jetty
#

well you also have to make it rb immune

copper idol
#

no you don't

deep jetty
#

yes u do all roleblockers are rb immune

copper idol
#

jailor is unique, so there's no paradoxes possible from two jailors exeing each other

#

and theres no paradoxes from like
tav rbs jailor who exes them = tav has rb immunity, jailor doesnt = exe fails

#

due to natural action resolution

deep jetty
#

jailor being the only edge case is not healthy long-term

sturdy aspen
#

did you steal temp's idea

copper idol
sturdy aspen
#

wait does this still bounce?

#

when not executing?

copper idol
#

yes

west sphinx
#

All I’m hearing from this is that you reduce the TK factor of this and nerfed the TS factor of Jailor drastically while keeping it a JoaT role

sturdy aspen
copper idol
#

you're ass

sturdy aspen
#

should only bounce on execute

sturdy aspen
#

fuck you

deep jetty
#

man you actually made jailord a better crusader

sturdy aspen
#

it already is

copper idol
#

jailord is already a better crusader

#

??

west sphinx
#

Jailor is a Jack of all Trades role

deep jetty
#

jailor rbs

sturdy aspen
#

jailor is a crus, vigil and tavernkeeper, TI combined

west sphinx
#

It is a TK/TS/TP/TI all in one

deep jetty
#

so u shouldnt jail a seer

#

with this u can just

copper idol
deep jetty
#

jail the seer

#

and seer gets info

copper idol
#

seer is fake

#

gg

west sphinx
copper idol
#

jail not rbing townies is a good upside for jail also not rbing evils

deep jetty
#

plot twist: they were not fake

copper idol
#

if you dont 100% know someones evil when you jail them

#

then youre not going to just click the exec button like

#

???

deep jetty
#

i will

west sphinx
#

Me when rit failed to rit someone:
