I'm not sure really. I'd have to leave this idea hanging for a while. On the one hand, sure, but on the other do we really want to encourage players to just spam people all day? You want to use that ability for blocking things, not as a slow judge power.

I think changing it from previously to the previous night could work, I do agree that giving something to let Starspawn know who their allies are is needed as the other Pariahs have it, but it being anyone feels too strong as that is what limits starspawn unlike the other two NPs who are either very limited in their use outside of their info, or who sacrifice another very powerful skill to use the information skill.

starspawn doesn't need this

#

like at all

#

starspawn literally is already the best np at the skill ceiling it doesn't need to be even better at its already easy job

west prairie
#

it simply just doesn't need help the role is good as it is we should be looking to buff auditor

quartz pond
# west prairie to add onto this starspawn is literally good in like 99% of cases where the othe...

I would argue Judge is good almost all the time as it makes it more difficult to communicate as town (a fun play as an evil is to post a fake will faking as the confirmed TI) and gets you more votes, the evil wincon (and has amazing music) and Auditor can also block TI info meaning it can save evils the same way Star can since you don’t care about blocking TP on evils and Vigi/trick with attack can bypass SS anyway

#

The guaranteed kill is nice but to communicate is sus after you whisper back and forth to the person UOd

#

Like a judge whispering a person they “checked” as TI

west prairie
#

Auditor cannot save evils in the same way because smoking an evil typically means you aren't smoking tplo and not smoking tplo is generally just bad

#

vigi and trick don't bypass as I'm p sure it blocks all town

#

starspawn is unique in the fact that because it doesn't have rolecop info it can be stronger in other areas, stop trying to take away what makes it unique to give it a buff it really doesn't need

only vigilante does iirc

#

and trick when unleashing maybe

primal dune
#

Trick unleash and vig lead poisoning both bypass ss yeah

west prairie
#

cutting that out though ss still has the most generalized and useful utility when played well

#

This buff is brain dead so like what you will spam your ability on the same person? That's unfun and ss has really nice utility by blocking Info and removing a crucial Tribunal for a day.

west prairie
#

ss isn't even supposed to be able to pick the same person twice according to the role card

#

or actually that's not how it works

west prairie
#

and if you isolate them you learn their role

#

but like you'll never learn tpow or anything like that so this just kinda serves 0 purpose you would know the roles of who visited your target and claimed UO regardless

guys I already got told this please stop responding to it

#

Starspawn exists to go on the Tpow and block every TP while coven waltzes right in

#

It does that just fine

#

I see no reason to add this

quartz pond
#

I just feel like it needs a better way of finding evils since it takes quite a bit of coordination

cerulean drift
#

I do agree that all NPs should have a way to make contact, but I also agree that SS is the most powerful NP and therefore would be really strong if given one, which is why I suggested making it ultra hard by only revealing if they were someone that was starbounded the night before

quartz pond
#

I guess

#

I mean right now you either wait a day or risk any townie notice you whispering the UO person

cerulean drift
#

which is the balancing point for SS I believe

quartz pond
#

I mean I have used SS in blatant coordination (I believe it was in a Dyl video where they were SS) and it was great but was way too risky

#

I guess yeah
