This is a proposed change to the current way game modes are handled weekly + voted on.

Current System

  • 10 modes available in rotation
  • Vote between 4 randomly provided modes
  • Every week, the bottom 2 modes are removed (1/5 modes)
  • 1 new list will be added
  • 1 old list will return

Updated System

  • 12 modes available in rotation
  • Vote between 4-5 randomly provided modes
  • Every week, the bottom 4 modes are removed (1/3 modes)
  • 1 new list will be added
  • 3 old lists will return

The new system is designed to make every week feel different, by bringing in and taking out a larger chunk of modes. This does mean it is more likely for your favourite modes to be removed, but these modes are also more likely to return in a much shorter period of time.

Want some opinions on this, it's pretty much just me adjusted some values of things and employing automation

I think I understand the point, but yeah it changes nothing, it mmay increase it's percent choice but it won't change that it has the highest percent choice anyway and was therefore never leaving

Before you got to vote for 40% of total modes, now you get to vote for 33%-42% of total modes

So on average, you are voting for it less than before lol

For each day a mode hasn't been in rotation (we don't track this rn so every mode will be at the same), it's given +1 lot to return. Then 3 modes will be randomly pulled out of this, with modes that have been gone for longer having higher lots to return

I've added some new tech in that lets me send gamemode descriptions instead of actual rolelists, this opens up new special lists in the future

I'm excited for Wildcard, it has the charm of April throwing you into something unknown, but instead they are actual human-designed gamemodes being played instead of just RNG

I just don't really post things now unless I'm really sure about it, which is why all my recent suggestions do as well as they do

yeah, there is no point honestly, I really think the only thing it affects is how many people pay attention to it, I for example look at all dev suggestions, but may avoid others if they don't seem as impactful/interesting
