Clarification
• When using a recorded ability you will not visit the target but instead use the recording of someone performing the ability and will visit them similar to how Retributionist works. (recording are seen as ? To lookout) you will be notified if your recording was attacked by a jinx or veteran and if it was blocked by an unknown obstacle.

My main concern is it feels like most of the time you're just going to duplicate a lower use ability; the randomness kinda makes it awkward

Again, in theory yes, but good luck actually doing so in a game - you need both the monarch and any knighted players to survive, as well as to coordinate the knighting so you record it; its not going to happen much

Wait so if i do make a record priority wouldn’t it just do like. Theres a marshal and they get knighted and barrier’d, but you have recording priority so you get the knight ability

I guess but this only confirms 1 random townie every 2 nights (considering they use their ability right away) and there are chances that you don’t record an ability and the confirmed townie be dead
