it's not entirely a troll suggestion, there's legitimate use cases for it.
i mean ppv2 with no necronomicon is more balanced than its state upon removal
but yeah there are genuine uses other than ‘name this role to depty’ like ban it to customs or make a casual list that surrounds coven can’t use necro
4 coven 3 pariahs 8 town and coven can’t consistently kill at night
confirm a hex and pros and it’s gonna be a p good chaos list
the difference between removing towns lynch vs coven’s consistent kp is that coven have other ways of killing and other win conditions (namely hex)

and then ‘xyz’ is sus is like 20x more important

A gamemode is a modifier with a set role list.
without the right coven roles they would just lose if this modifier was enabled.

perfect town, no necronomicon, and hex master + a bunch of evil cannon fodder means town needs to play VERY carefully
give me a rolelist then please cause the issue isn’t the modifier now

give this to PPv2 and evils will still probably win 50% of the time

but some modes are fine without it

this could be interesting for certain setups
it'd be completely inoffensive considering that it's just a modifier so more options can be had for certain things
like the modifier alone may be heavily anti-coven, but that can be balanced around accordingly with the list

imagine nocronomicon + perfect town
hex isn’t reliable because if coven is winning there is no point for hex at that point, BoB does this better sure but it’s still inherently different and can create more unique situations where coven and town are clashing heads trying to fight eachother using votes and manipulation (because coven can ALSO deceive and lynch other players)
perfect town + no necronomicon puts both town AND coven at a disadvantage because now coven can’t reliably kill BUT town can’t afford to mislynch
and 4 coven can become 4 executioners
I can’t really think of any time you would use this modifier but I don’t see any reason to why it shouldn’t be a modifier either

adding to this now, if coven become members of the town in certain chaos/customs lists, this would be a great utility to prevent coven from being too overtuned because town would get +1 kp each night
cases include town necromancer being able to use any corpse vs ret who can’t, but the necromancer would also have necronomicon and can kill each night otherwise which is too strong for town necro
Town Wildling is a better role than LO and Tracker, but with book it loses the gimmick. I’d love for a confirmed Town Wildling in a game against Arsos and Pariahs who have to communicate with eachother without using whispers or else be found out by wildling
I know people have said this already but adding this to teams would be fun because you can gain there utilities without 1 of them killing and takes away kill poweroverall

not that more kill power in teams is a bad thing, but definitely impacts how effective certain roles are and can make for interesting interactions if custom ++ ever becomes an option
town coven leader without book is townie + is found suspicious lmao
i guess it is more just if you want roles like voodoo master banshee or witch (or if you want rit but it has to guess) or stuff like that without having to have them be killing roles
the only issue i can see is that coven are much more susceptive to being locked into a draw or permanently losing without coven win-conditions
You could sandwich this with other 'win-condition' esque modifiers i.e., all evils must die by xyz or else or all coven visits count as hex... ect
