If a role is a major role (TPows, CPows, Horsemen, Jackal, BTOS2 Vampire), override the ending gradient of their role with a special one correlating to their faction so long as they do not belong to a neutral faction

that's with vamp red at the end. looks more like scab red than blood red. a solid #FF0000 looks better imo, but super saturated colors like this, besides white ofc, should probably b avoided if possible
i also tried a 2 point gradient (just setting the middle color to the average of the beginning and end) and these r the results for pure red and vamp red. vamp still looks scab red

a scab is dried blood, assuming the sore in question did actually bleed

the actual stuff that makes a scab is a clear liquid that turns yellowish and solid when exposed to air, but since most sores come with blood as well so do scabs
i forget how little people know about bodily functions sometimes /silly

anyway, i prefer the 2 point pure red for comp. here's the hex codes i used. might b a good idea to get away from pure tones but im not good with color theory

oh it's because i had curtis' color swapper, now that makes sense
it depends on what exactly you wanna do;
- if you "just want Not Pure Red" you can desaturate it slightly by adding in a little bit of the other colors, and slightly decreasing the amount of red. this'll turn it slightly grey
- if you want a bit more purple (which you can always do. more purple is always good /silly) add in more blue than you'd think & decrease the red to actually get purple instead of pink
- if you want a bit more yellow-ish, add a bit of green to shift the hue
mainly though i suggest grabbing a color wheel about it lol

but now "unused" colors (mainly the NEs) need to be accounted for
i wouldn't quite say that, exactly. still not visible in normal gameplay besides those custom role mentions. its just now the "unused" icons can b used. still a good idea to do them eventually, but focus on the role-faction pairs that can actually be played, first

since it's been so long since this was actually in use, to keep ppl up to date:
- grey boxes are icons we have. they may be updated should creativity sprout, but don't need to be focused on.
- white boxes are icons we don't have, but won't appear in standard gameplay. they can mostly be ignored, but feel free to source some creativity among them.
- red boxes are icons we don't have and do appear in normal gameplay. filling these out should be priority
spy specifically having less coverage due to it being removed at one point-
that, iirc, is why cs spy wasnt in the git
specifically regarding the factionless column: if the rest are fully filled out this should never appear besides using faction overrides. until then I'm keeping it the same level of importance as the red boxes bc they can b useful as a basis for other icons, and ofc padding out the spaces where the faction icons fail to cover (ie. their original intent)

i recommend uninstalling tos2, clearing out the folder and redoing the steps again
chances are your sml is busted because it's not picking up on mod libs
it's no longer a fancy ui issue, but it's strange that it's happening to you
small chance that windows defender might be fucking with you too
well I did ctrl x to save my soundpacks and the libs folder is gone
