YEEPS Go Kart Idea
I think a go-kart would be an awesome addition to YEEPS. It could be used for racing, exploring maps, minigames, or just driving around with friends. The controls should be simple to learn but still rewarding to master.
How It Works
Players walk up to the kart and press Grab to get in. If it has a passenger seat, another player can hop in too.
Controls:
Right Side Trigger = Accelerate
Left Side Trigger = Brake/Reverse
X = Jump or use an item
Y = Horn
Players could choose between two steering options. Motion steering lets you rotate your VR controller like a steering wheel, while button steering lets you steer using the controller buttons.
Holding the Right Top Trigger while turning would let players drift around corners, making racing more fun. Pressing X would make the kart hop over small obstacles or hit ramps, and Y would honk the horn.
Building & Customization
The kart would use normal YEEPS building pieces and could be customized with different colors, wheels, seats, bumpers, flags, stickers, and horn sounds. Players could also save their favorite designs.
Extra Features
Maps could include boost pads, checkpoints, lap counters, garage spawns, and optional power-ups like speed boosts, shields, and coin magnets.
Why It Would Be Fun
I think this would fit YEEPS really well because it gives players a fun new way to build, race, and explore. Players could create race tracks, drifting maps, obstacle courses, or just cruise around with friends. The controls would be easy to learn, while drifting and steering would reward players who practice. Overall, I think go-karts would be a fun addition that fits naturally into YEEPS.
