This would be kind of like the two handed weapons in BotW/TotK.

Currently, almost every gadget works the same way, you hold it with basically one hand. Adding support for two-handed gadgets would open the door for new mechanics, more awesome interactions, and more creative gadgets in future updates.

Certain gadgets would be marked as Two-Handed. They are designed to be grabbed with both hands, but can also be grabbed normally, and would have unique bonuses depending on the gadget.

For example:

  • Wood Axe - Deals high damage, but takes two hands, just like all of the other gadgets mentioned.
  • Accordion - Requires both hands to play, making it feel much more authentic.
  • Heavy Shield - Provides stronger protection but prevents from using another item at the same time. This could balance and would make shield players, such as me, happy.
  • Future Gadgets - This could create more gadgets that take advantage of the mechanic, such as, say a bow, which I’ve been wanting for such a long time, but more on that is talked about here, link.

This suggestion isn’t simply to make items stronger. Instead, each two-handed gadget would have its own bonuses and trade-offs, making the gadgets more interesting.

This idea would also pair well with my Composer Update suggestion (https://discord.com/channels/1197017602292207666/1532230674143248394 ), where instruments like the Accordion could naturally make use of this mechanic.

Overall, I think a two-handed system would be an amazing addition to Yeeps, and would be such a cool thing to see.

i feel like gadgets that require 2 items but one hand to aim already qualify for this
