Honestly, the pin will win, why? Cause you cant own it, thats the only reason (or bat cuz of 5 year olds). The fact you put pin, an item that has one specific thing setting it apart from all gadgets and will remove that thing when it wins makes all the other choices obselete. It's like saying "pick a very cool thing or a midly cool thing (gold gadget), you can only chose one". Due to the pin being in the vote a spot for another good gadget was taken. Reminder: THE VOTE IS ABOUT THE BEST GADGET, NOT THE REWARD
I prob really badly explained this so if anyone finds anything wierd, i'll try to make it better
Also, saying the winner gets a gold resking changes the vote from best gadget to what gadget looks best in gold.
My point is that you should never let anything like that happen ever again as it ruins the event
