#the worst labrat fix (15❌!!!)

True
Also true, but I already added it
add a non disclosure agreement in the application until the update is released(if it is legally possible)
And I personally(not the best solution logically) think that it is not enough making the floor higher. We need to lower the ceiling
labrat fix, but labrats would hate it
no
this sucks
like
just make the apps be more rigorous and make you actually have to find bugs
bam
it's fixed
- Is basiclly how Gods of Gravity does it
you are a labrat, that's why it sucks for you
this won't fix anything
it'll only make it worse
I don't care about being a labrat
this would just make beta testing harder
none of them will help anything
the first will just make updates suck a lot more and have less development and be buggier and take longer
the 2nd will get more testers of less quality
overall nothing will actually be gained
and third one?
the 3rd is actually not too bad
but it's a bit easier on the reviewers to have a dedicated role you keep rather than removing the role from the person over and over, which would clog the forms a lot
apps would take longer
we would need more reviewers
and yeah
I think the current labrat system is flawed and needs work
but I don't think these are the ways to fix it
bodbud might have just given a peak idea at the start of it
the whole reason labrats exist is to find bugs that trass won’t
i don't think that's the final solution, just a beginning
also i think the amount of labrats works for stress testing the update
how much stupidity can you pull off before something breaks
ok yeah but that would be SO hard to actually enforce, and it isn't really a problem
Read every solution
giving warnings and spoiler marks would fix accidentally spoiling people
and the updates arent "top secret" or whatever
I agree, even though it is a minor problem it IS a problem
yeah, if we just enforced putting spoiler warnings and marks, i think it would be better
This sucks, respectively
I think that for non-labrats having the option to know is good because it can build hype, like "oh the next update is X? I am excited, I want that!" and for people who don't wanna know it can be a suprise, like "Ooh! I wonder what the update is. I'll see when it comes out!"
if you don't want to get the update leaks, then just don't watch the lab of videos I mean
I am personally fine with spoilers, but not everyone
Ok, getting labrat is mostly just luck. My advice is make your application ASAP the moment they open. For bad testers, there’s really no way to prove someone’s age to see if they’e lying or not. Labrat is meant to be available to a lot of people, because imagine. What would find more bugs, thousands of people testing out the new blocks and mechanics, or a few devs having to balance working on the update, fixing bugs, and testing the update.
I agree with that, but I don't need help with the applications, because I just use my friends vr with labrat and report bugs from his account. But why not option 2 or 3?
Okay. If everyone gets labrat, then what’s the point if even having it? If everyone will just use labrat when the labs come out, there’s no point in having a completely different version of the game out. For option two it would just mean releasing updates 1 week earlier, which just ends up making lower-quality, buggier updates.
A lot of games do that
"Really hard to enforce"
We have a heck ton of mods btw
wait what is the current problem with lab rats?
Also preventing lab rats do lab videos can make them focus on their job, that is to find bugs and give feedback
The thing is it'd be hard to trace back to game and discord accounts from social media, if they don't have roles like CC or if they don't use a persona that we can track.
If a viewer finds it and they know that it's not allowed, they can always send a support ticket saying the problem
yeah, that's pretty fair, but at the same time I am pretty sure they specifically encourage labrats and CC to make videos on lab to build hype and showcase it for normal players, and it's not like every single labrat makes a video, it's like at most like 1/8th of labrats
Imo leave the hype part for star creators
They're trusted to Trass anyways
They can't force take-down the video tho, and if usernames arent shown and they are on an alternate email/account that isn't a CC they can't track down back to the meta account or the discord account definitively.
and that means no punishment
meaning no reason to not make a video on it cuz it's not like you can get punished anyway
all three “solutions” are flawed. The first one will definitely make updates release with more bugs, as without thousands of labrats to test the updates early, bugs will be harder to find during testing and before the release. The second option completely removes the point of labrat, basically the devs just publish the update 1 week early, so why not just remove labrat and just release updates 1 week early?? And as for the third option, that heavily reduces the amiunt of labrats, causing the same problem as the first one.
that's exactly what I said. none of these "solutions" would all negatively impact the game, and make updates take longer and be worse
X-reacting solely for that last line because that’s just Not True
there is action that needs to be taken, but none of these are what needs to happen.
the second solution is literally used by minecraft, factorio, satisfactory, and a lot more. And also you didn't say a thing about third option and the conclusion
read the final sentence.
Well
It at least incentivates labrats to not do videos anyways
Even if they could avoid it
i meant the conclusion
yeah it makes it more difficult, but why not to do that?
Anyways I also hate it, but I am still here just because I am bored
