This update basically adds go karting and racing game items to the game!! Ill go over new blocks, the kart itself, and how it all works.

This one's gonna be quite a long thread soo just scroll down to start looking

Go Karts
The main event for this update! This one is a gadget that works like a sled in terms of equipping, u just put it on. But unlike the sled, this one doesnt start until u pull one of the 2 pully straps, one means the kart goes forwards, one means the kart goes backwards, kinda like ghe new jet pack. To steer, you just grab the wheel and turn it. Pretty simple. If u get hit with an item like a bomb or banana peel, ur kart will spin out of control/stop for a few secs before u can keep driving.

And yes, these are customisable with charms

Item Boxes

This one is exactly exactly u think it is, when u touch it, itll select a random item from the box, in which u can throw onto the track and make players lose control of their cart, theres also a version that lets u put one specific item.

Items You can Get
I dont have a photo for these, But basicalky heres a list of the items u can get with the mystery item box.

Banana Peel: Self explanatory, throw onto the track, make yeeps spin outta control

Engine Fuel: Gives the yeeps kart a lil speed boost!

Ticking Bomb: When pulled out, itll start to tick for about 5 secs before it explodes, throw it onto ghe track to send a yeep flying!

Flying Saucer: Acts like a koopa shell, when thrown, will bounce around till it hits a players kart.

Gust of wind: Sends ur kart up into yhe air, allowing u to jump over yeeps!

And before u ask why would they add wholly new items when there are already some that do the same thing? There is a very simple explanation for that. I imagine that when someone puts a go kart on, they cannot move around with their arms, they can only use it to control the kart and grab out items.

3 Lap Checkpoint Block
This is like ghe checkpoint block, but itll only be passed if u went thru it 3 times. (3 times is the default, u cab set it to 2 - 10 laps)

Boost Blocks
Self explanatory, gives ur kart a boost. BUT this doesnt work when u dont have a kart, so u cant make ur yeep go flying.

Also, id imagine that lemoncakes suggestion https://discord.com/channels/1197017602292207666/1474665554970280069 on a racing leaderboard would work super well with this update

This could be really cool but they would probably use RC cars instead of making a new go-cart item (so it would probably just make the items smaller and with the same uses)

Racing Gamemode
Ok, so the goal of this one is to finish the race first. When the round starts, the race will automatically start after a countdown (basically having there be no need for the start race block, or itd be reworked sp that the start race block just acts as like a door to prevent yeeps having a headstart when in this gamemode) Once u get thry all ghe checkpoints and get to thr finish first, you win the match!

Id also imagine there being ui near ur bubble to tell u which place ur in and a speedeun timer as well. Ontop of that, id also imagine a game rule that makes it so that if u finish the race first, u have to wait for the others to finish before the round actually ends

i think this idea would be awesome alongside a general mech update where you can customize your own vehicles/mechs to then race with

though yeah a dedicated kart racing mode would be dope

i just think you could expand go-karts to a more general vehicle system instead of being like a sled where you build the machine yourself which can have both tire propelled vehicles and walking mechs yknow

both would be dope though and i'd love to see a proper vehicle system, it's been suggested quite a bit

i do think since that we already have rc cars and sleds alongside foot races kart racing would need to have something way more interesting to warrant an entirely new mode and set of mechanics, so having buildable vehicles that you physically drive makes a lot more sense as a flagship major update

If they add vehicles, it should be an engineering update. If they add vehicles individually it would be a lot more work in future updates to add more vehicles and there’s less room for customization. If it’s an engineering update, you can make your own vehicles (including Go Karts) and don’t have to wait for them to add specific vehicles and stuff, you can just make them. And it means we can do a lot more than just vehicles

And my reason is because engineering would be a better way to do it

They always encourage creativity

And when the players have the freedom there’s infinite more possibilities

We could have thousands of vehicles and contraptions rather than just a couple every other month

Atp ur just being disrepsctful and trashing in my suggestion for whats already there and going "Engineerings better". I didnt make this suggestion just for the engineering ideas made it ro add a go kart racing game aspect to the game. By ur logic we should've been able to have custom biomes or som like that ti have much more freedom.

And do what if they make it a gadget? I said itll make it charm customizable so that u can at least try to make it like the other carts in some way. The engineering is a good idea, donr get me wrong but I dont want the focus to be in geh wngineering, I want it ON the racing

Also how would it be easy to put it in? Yeah they'd still add it but they'd have to rework a system if the parts are made of blocks. Because think abt it, those blocks would have to be turned into something that can move on its own when assmebled into a cart, and blocks currently cannot do that. They'd have to either rework the physics system AGAIN, or rework the building system to have this. Sure they can and they would still add it, but again why do that when theres a simpler option by putting on the kart as a gadget n racing?

Also u have only complained abt the go karts. Litterally please give feedback on ANYTHING else abt this suggestion. A simple go kart thing shouldn't be why this is bad. U dont look at som like the Basement biome boverhaul and think "this is bad bc this person didnt think to add in pressure plates!!1!!11!" Or som like that. Sure u can suggets that be added in also, but u shouldn't trash on my or someones suggestion bc I/they didnt include it.
