#wiring items to add that would be insanely helpful and useful

i swear i used to have 3 ideas but i forgot one so heres two

new variable blocks: variable increment and decrement

these would add/subtract a specific value
i HATE having to use a ton of defines to increase on variable by only 1, and a map im owrking on uses alot of variables so
yea

laser blocks: laser, laser reciever

the laser would send a beam that goes until it hits a block, and when the laser reciever recieved a laser it would output a signal
the lasers would also be color corrdinated (only recievers can recieve a specific color laser and could reflect off a new mirror block or sum

#

had these in my mind for a while and just wanted to say them

hmm

quiet stirrup
#

also for the increment and decrement blocks you could input a number

#

lets go axolotl saw this

somber dragon
#

can the laser detect players?
or can it only detect the receiver?

covert plover
#

I technically am also an axolotl

quiet stirrup
#

the laser would just be a beam of light and anything in the path can either block OR reflecet if they added some kind of mirror or used glass

#

they could either make it hit players or not, or make a specifc gamerule for it

#

the reciever is the only thing that can detect lasers

#

and the laser would constantly output a signal, or have a wiring input in the back

#

ill make a better image

boost

civic kernel
#

red makes it 0

#

green adds 1

#

blue subtravts one

quiet stirrup
#

yea

#

thats what i said

#

if you read it you would know why i would add it

civic kernel
#

They’re acting as if you have to take up your whole map

#

It’s the same block size

fluid silo
#

cool

quiet stirrup
#

???

#

to add say 20 to one variable, that requires 20 defines

#

a variable increment would be way easier as thats just 1 block

#

yea you could make a system to add 20

#

but im not doing that

#

evil bacon do you even know what incrementing is

swift epoch
#

Wait cant you just

#

Button Twire or +wire and T wire variable+1
Other variable -1
Cwire wire cwire othervariable greater than (0)

quiet stirrup
#

yea but that also takes a lot of time

gritty raven
#

this is really cool

I definatly agree with the first one, but not sure about the laser. I suppose it could be useful for long range wires decreasing block count, but we already have transmitters and recivers for that, so I don’t see the real application of the lasers

#

I suppose they could be cool, but thats not a great reason for them

Thats enough to make a solid amount of things, doubled with variables now being a thing

swift epoch
#

As i said, not enough to waste like that

sour tapir
#

Theres enough to make 3 arcade games in one world

swift epoch
#

What were the games

sour tapir
#

puts on sunglasses you couldn’t possibly know unless you checked out my community world, but I mean simplistic, not too complex games

#

But still games nontheless

swift epoch
#

Simple things simple solutions

sour tapir
#

I think I could’ve made more complex arcade games with more color options rather than needing more transmitters

#

A multi-color screen display would be more useful
