My Songs! (Hopefully Submitting for Music Comp 2027)
No I do not have FL Studio I’m too broke

- Is the drum kit a sample or a loop you composed?
- Pick a scale and stick to it. Using a chromatic scale like you’re doing here is very… how do I put this
- Keep the tempo of your song instead of slowing it down and speeding it up a lot.
- Keep the velocity of the piano relatively the same, when it got louder in the end is kinda jarring
- The strings is completely out of place. Doesn’t make sense to me at all
- Keep the bass simple. You don’t want to distract from the melody with the bass
1: Loop
2: Yeah I’m currently just getting into music
3: same as 2
4: I think that’s a GarageBand Bug
5: Yeah it sounds kinda awful
6: yeah for some reason I composed the bass last instead of first or second
Yeah, do it like this
For no 4 you can change the velocity by going to the piano roll, double tapping a note and pressing velocity I believe
Ahh okay
Personally I should probably keep the loops like 2-3 times not the whole thing
Any feedback on Cheese Chircuit
It’s very bland. There’s not much to keep me hooked into listening to the song, the melody instrument plays like a bass (plus the instrumentation is just kinda annoying to listen to)
I see the lead drops for a second before the loop, that just feels very wrong
Thanks for the feedback!
Compared to a song I made (this was the last song I ever made in GarageBand) I’ve included things to keep the track interesting to the ear as well as song sections and progressing even though it’s basically the same melody
I’ll DM you the project file too if you want to analyse and learn from it
Okay
hold on discord tweaking
