For example, the LGBTQ topic
If a pride cosmetic would be added, sure people would leave, but it would show obvious support for the minority and distunguish yeeps as a safe space, and the people who leave would have caused a ruckus anyhow.
Denying these suggestions (which you have, countless times), however, makes it seem that you are CATERING to homophobes, bigots, etc., doing nothing but make the LGBTQ feel even LESS included

The REFUSAL to ban AI imagery in the discord discourages artists and the hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of creative people in the community
With a game all about imagination and creativity, allowing the server to become a breeding ground for mass produced soulless art, this creates a horrible reputation for the game
Pick a side, doing this only makes people feel unsupported, rather than you seeming neutral

They should be able to decide on their own time. it's not going to hurt the game at the standpoint it already is at. If it was, it would've already hurt a bit ago.

I think the baning ai thing is a good idea. But not every artist is affected by the use of ai, not every artist is not affected by ai.

You’re right items with the same concept exist, but it’s important to note why people bought these items in the first place

We have gag items that never get used besides specific maps/quests, i.e broken mic i.e war horn but specifically the limited time items get bought and subsequently used as a result (even if they suck or actively hurt you (coal) )

But there is a big distinction between something like candy and the gadgets in the tech web you proposed. If you didn’t buy the candy, you could’ve been missing out on a OG status as we didn’t know at the time what was coming back and not, this made you want the candy… not because it was good, but because you had to buy it or you where missing out. The same is said for other items outside of candy. Back to coal, at the time we didn’t know about the furnace, so as far as we were concerned, it was just a gag item that slowed you down. The gadgets you made are also very similar to other gadgets we have, not inherently bad… but it explains their ability quite well. The candy and coal were not like this, you can’t really tell both effects just from color i.e the blue one probably freezes, but what else? i.e what does the coal do? Which can also make people buy them… while yours are pretty self explanatory both in name and appearance (not a bad thing, just different)

You suggested a new tech web, just a little extra on top of the cosmetics, not an advent calendar or limited time stuff but a little extra. If I could get wings tomorrow, or buy the rainbow firework and have to wait longer, which are you expecting the average person to buy? Unless I’m mistaken and these are limited and it’s just not explicit I see no reason to buy these when I could be spending to catch up.

You didn’t just put fishing into the game on a wim because why not, else it would have not purpose and would just be ignored (unless your map is so bad where fishing is better than playing) You put it into the map and built the main system to also be around fishing. Assuming you have it so fish can be sold, your main xp and gold system now is built to include the pole in and catch which is necessary for the system to be part of the map, therefore stretching around fishing.

my point isn’t “all maps with fishing are for fishing” but that when actually including fishing in your map, you need to include its gameplay loop… not that it’s the only thing you can do.

The reason fishing is different than health in my point is due to one thing, when a maps core system is built around the fishing update system, it’s fishing. When a map uses the PvP update system, it’s not only PvP… I’ve seen boss fights, survival maps, etc. all using the FFA and Health system without player v player combat. The PVP system is flexible to fit multiple core systems, while fishing always has the same fish, catch, release priceable.

This doesn’t mean systems like this are inherently bad, but it pushes away people the system isn’t for away, causing them to lose out on gameplay & replay-ability in maps where that is present and the update as a hole.

Assuming you have it so fish can be sold, your main xp and gold system now is built to include the pole in and catch which is necessary for the system to be part of the map, therefore stretching around fishing.

my point isn’t “all maps with fishing are for fishing” but that when actually including fishing in your map, you need to include its gameplay loop… not that it’s the only thing you can do.

The reason fishing is different than health in my point is due to one thing, when a maps core system is built around the fishing update system, it’s fishing. When a map uses the PvP update system, it’s not only PvP… I’ve seen boss fights, survival maps, etc. all using the FFA and Health system without player v player combat. The PVP system is flexible to fit multiple core systems, while fishing always has the same fish, catch, release priceable.

This doesn’t mean systems like this are inherently bad, but it pushes away people the system isn’t for away, causing them to lose out on gameplay & replay-ability in maps where that is present and the update as a hole.

Yeeps was made to "escape the real world", and sadly, at the moment in time, the LGBTQ+ community is in the political crossfire atm. In the Gtag pride update, instead of helping support the LGBTQ+ community, it made it easier for homophobic users to target the LBGTQ+ community. It's not yeeps trying to support both sides or just not taking a side; it's to keep the "escape the real world" idea and not make LGBTQ+ members a target for harassment.
With the AI idea, AI memes are a thing, and to remove that is just not fun for the community, but AI art is not allowed in Yeeps official music and Art Posts. So i believe this argument doesn't make much sense.
