Since the water bombs seem a little too similar to impulse grenades, they should make the target “soggy”, which will slow them slightly for a period of time.

FYI the pool noodle's dark spots aren't meant to be bite marks. They were suppose to be a representation the little holes in a pool noodle, but either ways it funny

I remember making water tanks out of pool noodles (weave one between your legs and it's basically good enough as a floatie)

Anyways, an idea I've liked for water effects is it giving true slipperiness (aka sliding with your hands and not just your torso), slowness is kinda taken by the un symbolized red effect, but it's only featured in coal so water could take that.

Hold up new idea
You know how cloth soaks stuff up, and it gets heavy? What if the water effect made you heavier! Because your soaked!

This is just a water pump version of the impulse bomb, and although it’s not a bad idea it’s just pvp maps with water are very rare,

Which is why I have a solution

Water bomb has a NEW EFFECT
(Taking inspiration from MarioXrabbids sparks of hope) someone getting the water effect from weapons or bombs will cause them to go in a water state where they take WAY more knockback and bounce when hitting the ground
This will definitely give it the difference it needs

I love this idea and honest I hope this get added to the game. Another thing it that there are water gushers that can shoot you up kinda like the confetti blocks but this isn't redstone powered it happens randomly. And then maybe some water cannon trap like the sawblade trap but this shoots out water which does the damp affect and it pushes you and depending on if it's painted a glowing paintbrush it can still push you if not glowing just less power to it, and if it's painted with a certain paintbrush (other then glowing) it will change the way it's facing.

Idea:

You could add a “water tank” that is ammo for the water gun, and has to be refilled from a sorce of water. Also make it so you can attach it to yourself like a loot sack.
