Hello everyone, as far as I can tell there has been great interest in having a well made community up kept wiki. Right now we have a fandom one, but we have little control over it, and it is very hap hazard.

If we can prove community want, we can switch to wiki.gg

Pros of wiki.gg

• It can be owned and maintained by active people in the community, as well as far better offical support by the devs
• Less intrusive/inappropriate ads, and the wiki.gg team works with us
• We can start from scratch to make it as good as possible

Pros of keeping the fandom

• It partially already exists
• It's more known then wiki.gg (we can change that for our community)

1. Wiki.gg is actually bigger than you think, it’s used for a lot of big games like terraria and there’s been a big movement to switch to it recently

2. The fandom wiki right now for yeeps sucks, if we are going to make an effort to make an actually good wiki, we might as well attempt to start on a much better website

3. And with that if we make an actually good wiki and promote it, that will become the one the community uses. (Unlike the fandom one in both aspects)

I believe we should due to the fact that we can utilize some of the already given info and reduce time on things already documented, and more time to revamp/rewrite things, but also, the less intrusive/inappropriate ads will make this more usable for younger audiences (although you could use and adblocker, its still great, and with the devs help, more things can be documented

@shrewd gazelle Depending on your dedication to making this wiki a successful place for people to learn, I believe it can have good success if accepted. There is currently no way in the server or in-game to further understand/learn more about the game and better know how to do certain things, along with figure out certain functions. Fortunately, you have direct access and communication to top players, builders, and wirers through the Moon team, so I'm hoping you will use that to your advantage to collectively make it an actual, fully informative source of in-game knowledge for all objects/unclear game aspects. I admit that even as an active member of the game and community, I do struggle with certain things because I never had a simple way to figure it out, which would be solved on acceptance of the wiki.

Wiki.gg would be better than Fandom, but imo hosting one on a regular website with MediaWiki would be better. Wiki.gg would be easy to set up, but if they were to ever get bought out or start being like Fandom than the Yeeps wiki would have been better off on something else. I have a website that I could try host it on (although I probably wouldn’t write any articles)

Or you can do the actually true self-made website and hand code it, that takes time and resources, wiki.gg is an amazing resource that allows people to make wikis for the games that they play. So you can just save the state of anything with one pulse
