I think a good idea is to add smelting. Where you could get a pickaxe, mine certain blocks (possibly on a new techweb), get raw resources at different heights, such as iron and coal, and even smelt those into ingots that you can sell at the resources station. You could upgrade your pickaxe on a tech tree. And there could be achievements. for example, mining 500 blocks. My friend suggested this, and he somehow predicted the Fishing Update.
