To make the Yeeps discord a more interactive place a music bot would be perfect! People can add songs to the queue and listen to them together in the server!
I know this will cause a free questions so I’m here to answer them
Explicit Songs
Explicit songs have no place in the Yeeps discord obviously. We current APIs it isn’t possible to see if a song is explicit or not. However, when a song is requested you can ask a free AI like Gemini if the requested song is explicit or not and tell it to say yes or no. If it says yes don’t allow the song to be played if it says no allow it
What would this even help?
This will help people be more active in VCs and give them more things to do in this server. Of course this idea may not seem needed but it is definitely possible
What about YouTube’s Copyright?
SoundCloud! SoundCloud gives free songs while some are blocked behind their GO+ subscription and only return 30s clips those can be detected and not allowed. SoundCloud doesn’t copyright for use of their API making it perfect!
Wouldn’t making something like this be too hard?
Nope, I have done it easily using Lavalink and MoonLink.js so this is completely possible and a good idea! MoonLink has helpful documentation and helpful videos from its community, and has a support server where their developers help users themselves
Who would make the bot?
The same people who made the other Yeeps bots, however if they need help and don’t want to look at the documentation or videos I could send them a script that would work perfectly! Let’s make Yeeps Music a thing🎉
