it's still a school day for most people, so I doubt a significantly larger amount of players will be able to play each update right as it comes out

it really isn't about lab for me though, as they already addressed that

there is one situation that updating on fridays works better for a few people
if someone has to go to bed right before, or right as the update releases, they'll only have to wait one night to play, instead of an entire school day
but like, delaying everyone to wait until friday, just so some people can experience the update STILL late seems kinda crazy to me

I think the real reason updates were moved back was because it allows them to work a little longer into the week on the update, instead of monday - wednesday

but this also means that if there's any bugs found in the live version of the update, we have to wait until monday for the fix

and let's be honest, fridays get enough stuff to do
they don't also need yeeps updates
weekly stuff resets on fridays, so the update coming out on thursday also means we get the last chance to consider whether we want to buy cosmetics, or if we want the stuff from the update
but if updates come out on friday, you can only choose whether you get cosmetics right before the update
which means you can't decide if you want the update stuff, or any cosmetic you were looking at

tl;dr updates on fridays just have more drawbacks than benefits, especially from the player's side of things, but likely even on trass' side of things
