It will need a paint brush put into the insert thing like item dispencer's then, the screen light whatever screen that could be lit up will change the colour to the inserted paint brush but with no colour changer it will be the original colour that it was. (edit: for a more basic explanation its "press button to change the screen's color to the inserted paint, with no color block it stays the color it was painted")

You can change the color of screens in play mode
so you can have a blue screen that turns green or something
