Although it is a pain to run away from the baby in a maze with a bunch of loops and dead ends. You gotta remember that the fun and scary part about horror is the chase (even if it's a pain). And if you're careful you can easily jump over the baby using the hedges. That's why i don't see any need to add hiding spots. Another thing being that you only have to find the exit instead of doing some other stuff.
