not sure why everyone's against this
it's mobile app recording, but you can do it all on your oculus
MANY other games do it like this (underdogs, ironstrike, etc) yet it shouldn't happen for yeeps?
this would just be more convenient than using the mobile app, at least most of the time
oculus recording DOES work, but you can't see from your perspective and record from a different perspective all on oculus
not to mention, this would be trivial to add, seeing as they already managed to do it with the mobile app

i completely understand your opinion, my take on it is that the mobile app is meant for recording, and the devs dont seem like they are ever gonna go in another direction with it. they obviously prefer you play the game on the oculus, prolly cause the mobile app wont support them as much, and it doesnt seem like they want to change the mobile app from what it is right now really. if they wanted to market the mobile app as something meant for playing on and basically being an alternative to yeeps on the quest, im sure they would. i dont deny it would be a fun change, but i just think they want to keep the mobile app how it is. i could be wrong, though, im unaware of the devs plans for the future. hopefully that makes sense yeepAlpha

iirc, besides being kinda fun, the point of the vr headset is to record in vr

what im trying to say, is that they want to keep the mobile app the way it is because:

  1. People playing on the oculus supports the game more. im not trying to say theyre money hungry, they value the community more than money.

  2. They want to focus more on the game, not make an update for an app that less people use, although it would be be a small change.

Im not saying it would be a bad update, i would actually have fun with it. All im saying is that it seems a little unrealistic that they would add it to an app that they clearly intend to be used for recording, and not a seperate version of the actual game. If they were to change the mobile app into something more like that, i would totally agree with this. I just think its unrealistic for the devs to be adding this for what they intend to be a recording app.

the thing is, they want to encourage players recording and making videos, not limit those who don't have devices good enough to run something like the mobile app whilst recording
my best bet on why they didn't add this was because it was too laggy, so they decided to go the route of the mobile app
but this wouldn't be difficult to add at all, so I wouldn't be surprised if they reconsidered
