Its quite hard to give general tips as building in general is a very hard thing to teach. However, the best piece of advice I can give you is to just try different building ideas and styles out. Some may not turn out the greatest, which is perfectly fine, because you know what to improve on. Push yourself out of your comfort zone every now and again and you might find something you're really good at building
