I’ve stopped playing Yeeps ever since the battle craft update and I’ve really been thinking hard on coming back to the game because it’s the only game I’ve ever had the amount of fun I’ve had when I used to play. I feel like I can’t come back for a multitude of reasons. First, The game doesn’t feel the same and it hasn’t felt like that to me for a while before I stopped playing. I played Yeeps the day it came out and it stuck out from any other game on many levels. It was a game that was completely different and new. The moderation team felt great and kind of young but in a good way. There was building and the pin mechanic felt great because it used skill but there was still another option to sneak up on someone and just tag them. The building blocks and innovative gadgets were so much fun and made it feel like hide and seek but didn’t. It made me feel like a kid playing hide and seek at the park but it had an extra spice added that people could never do in real life. I was meeting new people that have became my best friends that I would place over people i’ve known for years. The community was amazing and the developers were some of the most amazing people i’ve ever talked to which was a first for its time since most developers don’t give a damn on what you do and most are immature; These devs were able to listen to the community and were just great people. As we progressed it introduced new things and it felt even more fun with each update. Yes the grapplers were kind of annoying for tagging people but the thing is, it was the community’s idea and the developers took the time to implement it into THEIR GAME. I was meeting people and growing my role in the community every day and i’d say i’m a pretty sizable part of the game today since most people know my name and know who I am. The game was growing so fast. In two months they were on the official meta store.

The party and graduation update felt like a big celebration with the community and it was awesome to celebrate the achievements and accomplishments that this game has made. The ocean update was also so much fun, so many new mechanics and the last update was only a few weeks ago! A lot of new players were introduced to the game and teaching them was magical. We haven’t even had many updates and even I couldn’t think of what the next one could be, I felt like all major things were already done and it’s only been a few months. Then it got even better; The arena update was awesome, I was sweating when trying to runaway from people. Fighting them was also so much pressure but so much fun. It was so competitive and yet even when it was done, the competitive and aggressive player was so nice even if they won or lost. Every day I would spend hours on this game. From the moment I got home to the minute I went to sleep. My parents were sick and tired of it lol. I was always playing hide and seek or in the arena fighting with swords or even just hanging out with the community. The wiring and community worlds update were also so great. This game about pillows and hide and seek just snuck in a technical and entire wiring system in and it felt so normal. The community worlds were mind blowing, people were doing things that people have done before but it was so much better. We no longer had to host in private worlds or through a third party system like discord where someone would put a code and people would join just to add them and go to their privates. @snazzykat had a huge part in this with his backrooms. I heard about it from a friend and joined the next session and met so many people. It had strict rules but that made people have more fun.

Even when he was tired or going through things he did it to please the community. I was quickly accepted into the community and that’s how I am where I am today. I met almost all of my close friends from this that have saved my life and have been some of the best people they can be. They support me and always will. Snazzy was innovative and inspired many other people including me to do things like him. The game was amazing. The halloween and christmas update were also great. Halloween was fun because the new game mode was scary but the model and everything still felt like Yeeps. The christmas update and the wishlist giveaway was such a cool opportunity. I like to use the war update as an example of a fall off from the game. Yes they were building the game and the update was still fun but it started to not feel like before. The new gadgets were cool and I had fun but it felt like it’s lost its touch a little. People were still playing but gadgets started to feel unfair to people that actually wanted to play hide and seek. People like me that are able to make an income can make it unfair since some gadgets are unfair that others don’t have. I buy the entire update when it comes out and some people aren’t as fortunate.

The fantasy biome was really cool but the potions felt kind of like a cash grab since they don’t do much in general besides helping for community worlds. Same with cooking, didn’t do anything for hide and seek, something that’s in the title of the game. The music thing was the best thing that’s happened to Yeeps in a while. I actually played for around an hour because of it. There was no new gadgets and it didn’t affect hide and seek. Yes I wish hide and seek was more important to the game like it used to be but now it just feels like another game mode. Even the key art doesn’t show the hide and seek part of the title anymore. Yes I get the game goes by just Yeeps but it feels like all of the past was forgotten. I love the consistent updates as well but it’s really hard for new people. All of the techwebs and gadgets is a lot for a new player nowadays. A reason why I don’t play anymore is the gap between the players that never stopped and me. It’s not like it’s been a really long time either. It’s been like 5 months since I stopped. Before you can stop for 3 months and not miss much. The prop hunt update was fun for the short time I played it but the option to buy the prop gun made me really disappointed. Hide and seek is supposed to be a game mode where you hide behind blocks. not be them. It’s unfair to everyone playing and since it’s locked behind a decently sized pay wall, it’s not worth playing hide and seek anymore. Every update you guys do shapes the game which is good, everything’s unique that no one’s ever seen before but there isn’t even an official map that has the snow biome being used.

Everything’s that isn’t in the most recent update it lost to time. I love that there are other game modes but your main game mode has been forgotten. This game is my life even though I don’t play anymore, but you need to show a little love to hide and seek. Games like Fortnite have other game modes but they focus on battle royale. Games like Orion Drift have other game modes but they focus on driftball. There are no other games that do what Yeeps: Hide & Seek does. Do what you do best and be different. Just not too different. Yes the game will be boring if you guys don’t update or do what you guys are doing now but there needs to be some sort of a change. I love this game and always will. No matter what choice yall make. I always will, keep being unique and different and keep going places like i’ve always said yall would.

Yeeps feels like it’s progressively been getting farther and farther from the name of the game “Yeeps Hide and Seek” The hide and seek aspect has been completely forgotten. I can’t explain much in a shorter version but basically the game feels like it’s a completely different game and most of the important stuff is in the longer version. Sorry but i’d love if you would take some time of your day to read my opinion. You don’t have to but I appreciate everything you guys think.

When Yeeps came out it did really feel like being a kid again… everything was new and not much was known about how things worked, it was like a child discovering what things were in the world for the first time. I wish we could have an update to bring that back… maybe that’s what 2.0 is supposed to do.

also, prop gun in non-prop hunt map drains stuffing, so it's actually not worth using outside of prop hunt

it drains quick too, max stuffing to 0 in like 30 seconds to a minute

So here's my take, i think the game has evolved from what it was at the start. The hide and seek aspect was to give the game a starting gamemode for new players to play but as they added more gamemodes the main point of every update wasn't to improve the game but was to give the players more creativity more blocks and gadgets to use in there maps yeeps was made to be like roblox or minecraft a place where creativity is the main point of the game they add more gamemodes to appeal to different players some might not like hide and seek as much as you do and would rather play community worlds or battle arena the goal of every update is to add more stuff for people to make new maps or to add new stuff to there maps and the more gamemodes there are the more choices and options the people have when building if the game mainly focused on hide and seek the other types of players that enjoy a different aspect of the game might feel like there gamemode is being left out. So the best way to combat this is by adding completely new stuff or adding on some little stuff to every gamemode. Some updates might make other game modes worse but it was never on purpose or trying to diminish the other gamemodes.

I love it. I agree but don’t for a few reasons. The tutorial teaches you to use pins which is only really in hide and seek and it teaches you to use pillows. Yes I get that some people may not like yeeps hide and seek but I think they shouldn’t have downloaded a hide and seek game. I love how they appeal to others but building a sandbox type game when it wasn’t really supposed to be that doesn’t seem right

I agree with the tutorial part it's very dated but as you mentioned yeeps : hide and seek is really only called yeeps since they kinda moved away from entirely hide and seek i think the devs want it to just be called yeeps but changing the name would cause confusion I think yeeps 2.0 will be like refresh on what yeeps is and maybe they will change the name.

Tbh, the reason the game is so much different is because it will lose popularity. I love the updates, but something about OG Yeeps felt…different. There were no little timmies begging you to go to “insert any word” up, people actually played hide and seek…I just wish it was like that now

I see where you're coming from, and I agree. I played the week it came out on App Lab, and I too miss how it used to feel. But like everything else, overtime things are gonna change. I feel sorta like this, but something I've disliked, is that they've gone away from the plush theme, it's fine if they do, the games still fun, but it feels less, unique, more generic, kinda, the mom and father monsters look so, normal?, like they don't say "yeeps" but yeah once again I sorta agree with this stuff, I joined a bit before the ocean update, hide and seek wasn't really my main gamemode, the war update was really fun for me, but the game has felt a bit more boring, and p2w is definitely an issue, even if they need to make money somehow, like, does monster house really need to be in the second update?, the horror levels don't have much replayability, and lost their magic quickly, but like still, there's a lot less plush themes, like if the revolver was one of those toy guns, that would've been awesome, the pellet gun looks so unique, along with it's family of items, but the newer gadgets feel like they could be in any game design wise.

(also about the p2w, it does seem to be kinda one evil or the other, either they cant make money as easily, or the game will be p2w sometimes)

I do have max buttcoin production (excluding pets, Im too lazy for em), and it is fast, but the main problem is when you start out, it's slower then but speeds up, and it will get harder and harder for newer players the more stuff is added, and you could pay a lot of money to get everything and be massively ahead of another beginner, but besides that stuff I do agree buttcoins are decently plenty

Yeeps is about imagination and using your creativity and the biomes that dont feel like plushes or anything like that is supposed to be like when you would play with your toys and create an imaginary world for you characters to play in the same thing goes for yeeps as the theme was a world as a plushie through a kids imagination and never just plushies.

Also the reason some things are to expensive is because they are meant to be grindy if you just unlocked everything in a couple of days then there would be little incentive for new players to come back

Also there's no "winning" yeeps so you can't have p2w players as there is nothing to win

And also yeeps isn't ment to be a competitive game its supposed to be just fun so you can use the best gadgets but most the time the most fun gadgets are the silliest

you can do quite a bit more if you actually have the money to spend on blocks

halloween bam is one of the most expensive to compete in yet, as you'll probably need the entire (current) halloween techweb, and the stuff on the prop tech web to actually have a CHANCE at winning

Also there are tons and tons of options as a new player to get buttcoins so it is was easier to get the stuff you need to build not to mention the free shop and other stuff

tons of ways to get money, but you won't get enough to ever match someone who just spent $5 more than you.

you always have an advantage paying money, as anything a f2p player can do, you can if you spend the cash

not to mention the bundles having functioning gadgets, that you cannot get without paying

this recent bundle is a really good example with the monster detector

Advantage in what, BAM because if so then its doesn't matter you think a new player the first thing there going to do is enter bam of course not, not to mention all the time they give before and during bam to get the blocks because the blocks aren't that expensive the average cost of a block you would need is 300 and even if you can't afford it yeeps has tons of options to get more blocks by trading or the free shop. Even if you dont have any of that stuff the devs incentivise creativity and the more limited you are the more thought you have to put into your builds which ends up making them more unique from the rest most the time.

If you prioritize blocks over gadgets, the save up isn’t that bad. The worst offenders are trap blocks (most notably flame trap)

But the advantage is so small it doesn't make a difference, lots of times F2P players have won bam, and if they didn't it wasn't because they didn't have the blocks it was because there building wasn't good enough sure some decorations might of helped but the difference is so small that it wouldn't have done anything anyway.

Most of the bams have very broad themes even for desert if you didn't buy any of the new stuff you could have built a masterpiece if you put the time and effort in there was tons of good desert maps before the biome and you only really need 1 new thing to fit the theme for example if you were building a pyramid you could use wood for most of it and the sand from the ocean biome, there would be no need for anything new, sure it would spice it up a bit but you can work towards that thing you need while building
