assuming they stick to official maps, any new players will be in a room where spider grapplers are sold before reaching a room with normal grapplers
so if any new players fully explore every map they go to before moving onto the next, they'll likely also actually find spider grapplers first because you have to go to research facility, the biome that we weren't even going to be able to buy, before snow
