The portal gun would be both a really unique addition to Yeeps. (Please read everything before saying no)

How it would work YeepThinks
Portal gun would sit on top your hand ( like grapplers/propeller’s ) if you are holding 2 then each gun would shoot a different portal. If your holding 1 the portal that you shoot would toggle with every shot. A light on the gun would show what portal you’re about to shoot next. There would be 2 portal colors the orange one and the blue one either portal will bring you to the other. Every time a new person creates a portal theirs would be a new set of colors ( like RC cars ). For performance the portal cannot show what’s on the other side. And each portal is 2 blocks tall and only 1 block wide. Not every object can have a portal placed on it, the blocks that you can portal consists of pillow blocks, and wood though this could be changed.

How to not make it overpowered YeepRIP
This is a list of options that we could combine to find the perfect combo of balanced and fun.

  1. Make shooting portals cost cotton
  2. Add a portal shooting cooldown after going through one
  3. Having to load a portal ball for each shot
  4. Only certain blocks can have portals placed on them

Why this would be a great addition YeepLove

  1. Gives another reason to buy from the research facility tech web
  2. People could make so many cool puzzle maps with the new portals
  3. It’s sick I mean who would be mad or sad about a gosh dang portal gun
  4. Imagine being able to get around so easily with the portal gun in creative mode

Cooldown between spamming portals 5-8 seconds

Would the colour of the portals be different colour depending on the user? Like rc cars
Or will it be one colour only?

Portal ball is fast and efficient but hard to throw and it’s one way and one use. While the gun requires you to set up both portals but you can travel back and forth and people/objects can too

I think this would be a great idea. Just the idea of being able to go flying across the map due to your momentum is sick. I’m getting back into the portal games recently so i might be a bit biased, but just people making the test chambers from the games would be awesome!

I hope if this does become a thing, they keep your momentum between portals (Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out 🔥). I wouldn't really mind if there wasn't any rendering of the other side, but maybe each player's two portals are the same color to keep it simple and so people know which portals are theirs.
