Are you tired of kids griefing your meticulously crafted map, erasing all your hard work, and damaging your reputation by spreading copies everywhere but you wanna show your map to the world? Introducing the Owner Sign!

The Owner Sign is a special type of No-Copy Signs. It prevents others from copying your map unless they were the ones who placed the Owner Sign themselves.

Here’s how it works:

Protection: If anyone tries to grab, place, paint blocks, or tamper with the Item Restrictions Console (excluding pillows), you’ll get an instant notification—complete with the griefer’s name and the option to Emergency Clear the map, preventing griefers from voting to delay the clear.

Map Safety: If you get kicked or leave the Wilds, your map automatically leaves with you, ensuring it stays untouched.
This feature helps you catch griefers and keep your maps safe from anyone looking to sabotage your efforts.

Note: Other players to vote to clear is still allowed, placing the sign does NOT protect you from making inappropriate maps and being reported, Pillows are allowed to be placed, painted and destroyed

there are several other reasons why people wanna paste their map into a Wilds map.

maybe they don't have it finished and want people to try it and give suggestions

maybe they wanna promote their community world by showing off their map

maybe you don't even have a community world or don't wanna put it in a community world and just wanna show it off to people in wilds

there are probably several other reasons here and I'm trying to appeal to those people with those reasons, like myself, I like to show off my map to get suggestions on it before I put it in a community world but I just don't want people stealing the map I worked hard on

You should be able to destroy blocks? How are we supposed to build? I understand this in your private but not in wilds! Maybe I’m misunderstanding something but wilds are for building, not show and tell. I’m not opposed to an altered version of this, but I can image many players despising this.

a lot of people who paste their maps are there to show and tell anyway, if they wanna keep it safe from grieving they can with the owner sign, the exception here are the basic pillows and reinforced pillows which are normally breakable in play mode, this just restricts people from destroying things they aren't suppose to, if you want people to destroy blocks simply don't have the owner sign

plus if you have the owner sign in your map you can still destroy the map, it's just not encouraged because the sign means the paster of this map doesn't want it grieved otherwise they will get rid of the map to keep it safe

sure, Wilds isn't all about show and tell but it's not about destroying the show hat people work hard on

personally I have a fun map that I wanna show to the people in wilds but I'm scared they'll try and get rid of me to take my map, the people in the community aren't trustworthy and will do anything to take your maps and ruin it, that's what the owner sign is for...

no-copy signs and repasting are clearly not reliable enough, I've seen people paste a map and get kicked second hand so they can get rid of the no-copy signs and paste grieved versions of the map everywhere, it's really sad...

and no it does not immediately go to play mode, if people are grieving things they aren't suppose to in creative mode you get a warning on who's grieving and get the ability to clear the map, honestly the only use this would have in play mode is not being able to copy the map as in play mode you aren't able to get rid of blocks

But most importantly you should have the ability to insta-clear your own map

This is a bad idea

Your maps will only get griefed if you put them in wilds of something

In which case, you should expect it to be griefed. Making it impossible to break stuff is completely unfair and would just be abused to trap people in and stuff

It's just totally unbalanced, essentially if your map gets voted in it makes it almost impossible to actually get rid of it

Tldr; Makes pasting maps in wilds very unbalanced

THE OWNER SIGN DOES NOT MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO GRIEF IF YOU ARE IN CREATIVE MODE

players can still take blocks from the map (so if a player gets stuck when a map is pasted they can)
this is more so preventing people that are intentionally grieving (as in people getting rid of things they aren't suppose to) from ruining it and taking the map

if someone takes a block, the paster of the map will be notified and be given a choice to clear the map

THE OWNER SIGN ALSO DOES NOT MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAR

players can STILL vote to clear a map like they could vote to paste the map, the owner sign doesn't force players to not be able to clear the map, it just prevents intentional grieving and therefor removing copy signs and copying grieved versions of the map

the fact that owner signs make it impossible to grief and clear was never stated in this post

tldr; all it does is allow the paster of the map to clear the map without everyones vote if and when people grief it, which to me makes pasting maps in wilds far more balanced than anything
