#PcVr Port

Why would pcvr get more roles
If it goes on pcvr it will get mods, the devs can't control that
I mean everyone will get more roles not only for pcvr
lemon loader:
lemon loader:
Mod loader for android (hence quest 2) games
Bonelab uses it
Although there is also scotland2 which beat saber uses
No
I am saying that hackers exists even without pcvr
And tbh if trass set the game up right
All making a pcvr build should be is just adding another export
gorilla tag does it
manniquin does it
brazen blaze does it
contractors does it
hyper dash does it
9/10 if a game is on vr it is on steam and quest
only exception I can name off the top of my head is Exploding Kittens due to it being... made in collaboration with meta iirc
for the group of VR users that dont have a quest 2/3(s) and wanna play
(and who would say no to more players)
I can mod the game as it is? you gonna remove quest 2 support now?
(I can even mod it on quest 3)
pcvr makes it easier, don't undermine that fact, but you are right about the game being able to be modded as it it
but modders are DESPERATE for a modded yeeps apk, and pcvr would definitely make it easier, look at gtag, I haven't seen standalone modding methods, I've only seen pcvr modding methods.
In this game especially, moderators deal with a bunch of tickets already, there's no need to put extra stuff on the plate.
Then again, yeeps is relatively new compared to the 4 year old monkey game.
old msg but whatever
True and the only quest mod loader up till a week ago was Scotland2 which requires you to write mods in c++ which sucks. But recently Lemon Loader got updated meaning that you can use Melon Loader on standalone and c# is alot easier to work with...
I kinda wanna make a mod and see how hard it would be to make a custom server launcher
from what I've seen they've also encoded (all) the scripts so
it's might be easy to uncode but ive never seen it before
You mean il2cpp which is done by compiling the c# code in editor into c++ and then into machine code
Luckily modding software has decompilers
Such as (idk) for Scotland2
Or cpp2il for Melon/Lemon
maybe idk đ€·
I used asset ripper during the first update it was norm, then after the camera situation i think they changed it
Still mods
But not pcvr. So the claim that "you can only mod/cheat on pcvr" is false
Yeah but harder
Moving files from pc to vr is not that hard
You literally just plug in your headset
Well what you say nothings changing
And drag and drop the files
- Entitlement check
- No one finds joy in hacking a gorilla tag like game when it is alot easier to mod gorilla tag.
- Yeeps is less popular
But if I had to pick one reason. No matter the platform it takes effort to mod games. And when 99% of your player base shouldn't legally be on a VR headset...
The protection on the game is extremely hard even I have tried changing stuff like the music for me but it just crashes
That is because you were asset swapping
Which hits the entitlement check
Actual reason, reasons
-
After the game got hacked the first time the protection got really buffed.
-
The only reason why last hacking was because the mobile app had a vulnerability.
-
The game is rising with more players, which means itâs more popular than most games.
If a relatively decent modder opened up lemon or scotland2 they could patch that out
Even the best modder that I know canât hack yeep since protection
Also again. 99% of the player base is breaking Meta age guidelines
Itâs more like 20% to 15%
Under 13 aren't allowed to use quest headsets. And every child I hear is definetly under the 12 year mark
You can play, even if youâre 12 or 10 if you have a parent managed account
Let's be honest. Only a minority of parents are taking the time to setup a managed account for their children.
There is. They even have their own mod loader
They have their own "Android Mod Loader"
Ofc gtag is also working on official mod support
Yeah gtag has custom map support.
Go to arcade and put your head up to the vr headsets on the machines.
Accept mod.io ToS
Boom custom maps
And from the design of "Virtual Stump" it appears that cosmetics will be coming
Custom maps are a form of mods
You asked about gorilla tag
But in the case of "in general" you have Lemon Loader
Which is used for Bone Lab
Which already has mod support. But some people find the builtin stuff too weak. And so they made a external mod loader
But all that I am hearing is not arguments about modding. But that game moderators don't want to have to moderate the game
Why do you assume pcvr only exist for modders
So you admit this is a bad game no?
And that people are only playing it because they don't have many better options?
Or because they already bought the pcvr stuff
And don't wanna buy another headset
That's like saying all PC game players only own PCs for playing games. When alot of pc users are people who use it for jobs
Making mods on quest is harder than making was for PCVR since itâs easy
Ultimately. Skill issue. If you can't prevent mods. Just separate the servers
You would need more servers for a growing player base anyways
That wouldnât be fair
Youâd be separated from your friend if they had a PCVR
And also, they would have to maintain both servers in a way
They would have to fix problems in both different servers
Then add a button to temporarily be sent to pcvr
It would take both twice as long
They wouldnât even add this since it would cause mods to find a way to go into quest and hacks
Atleast... if the devs were smart
Itâs much easier tomorrow on quest than PCVR
That's why you isolate the two. Quest users can bring stuff to pcvr. But pcvr can't send stuff to quest servers
One-way replication
And it isn't like they have server-side access
So they can't make custom items
At most mods can affect the client. Unless the devs have a major vulnerability because they prayed a bit too much on their 1st line of defenses
Youâre underestimating
They would find a way to glitch in the quest servers
Gorilla tag...
You are falling into the fallacy of "gamers only want graphics"
Same fallacy as why CoD is 300+ GB
Again. Pre-owned
They owned their headset before quest 2 came around
Why buy another
You already have yours
2nd hand market usually suck
I am saying that pcvr would open up larger player base. And not be hard to implement (assuming the game is well written)
Another platform inherently opens a larger playerbase
but not all
How am I supposed to guess.
It could be 1 it could be 1000s
Also with pcvr you could open up "high performance" servers with upped object limits because iirc isn't there a limit to the number of objects per map
On the high-capacity servers
But limit BAM to normal capacity
And have a filter for community
Do you want me to pull up the modding statistics for various games?
Mostly mc, ror2, games with large modding scenes
Nope. Not natively
Same as yeeps
Someone else had to come along and put in work to get mods workong
If the games update
All mods break
â
Client-side mods exists
Resource packs, shaders
Hacked clients are client-sided
Modding only occurs when a game is boring
Technically minecarft doesn't allow mods. Since mojang has no modloader
Again. External vs internal mods
Bonelab has internal mod support
Iron Rebellion plans mod support
Factorio has mods
Mech fighting game
Iron Rebellion is competitve
Empty is a dev's alt, not a hacker.
I dunno what an entitlement check is exactly, but isn't there a way to bypass it (semi-easily?)
