Surfboard is way better than Sled, so people who bought it basically wasted their money on something more expensive with less use. If you want to make the sled good again and worth the price, you would have to make the sled better than the surfboard. First, nerf the surfboard to make it only good on water, and bad on land. I mean- have you ever seen someone ride a surfboard on the ground? The sled will stay the same, but since land is more abundant, it will be better and more worth the 1,200 buttcoins.

Currently the Sled is faster on ground, has the capacity for infinite momentum, and sticks the player onto blocks, preventing them from being launched, and allowing them to stick to ceilings.
These are all unique to the sled and are not shared with the surf board

yeah but the main function is its ability to slide which the surf board has but with slight friction and smaller height so its just a better version of the slee
plus you cant stick to walls with the sled, just the ceiling which barely happens

The surfboard loses momentum quite fast on the ground, but I suppose it could be faster.
The way the surfboard is currently set up allows you to surfboard-jump out of the water, grind on the ground a bit, before landing back in.
Outside of reducing the maintained momentum of the surfboard even further, I don't see any good ways of nerfing it
