i think its about time they add an item dispenser to the game, so heres my take on it.

how it works
when placed, it'll start off with no items inside.
to add an item, you click the checkmark button and put an item inside the dispenser.
to remove an item, click the X button and click one of the buttons next to the item you want to remove.

placement on tech-web + price
it'll be right next to the item restrictor, on the grass tech-web.
it costs 300 butt-coins to purchase, and is creative only.

And I'm guessing to dispense the item takes its normal cotton amount

The thing they don’t want is for people wipes to add items to one in there private so that they never have to spend buttcoins on items they just need someone to give them the item once. Too good, maybe if it was a 3D printer and the items fell apart after you left the map. But free items is too good.

its mostly for creative maps and still takes away stuffing

not sure why'd you wanna be running from your private and blue house every minute because you dropped an item

for items that dont stay after using, it would really only be worth using in that map

also if getting the items for free is the problem, nothings stopping you from asking someone else for one

i mean i guess this is okay... on one hand this just seems like something to put in your private world to complete every quest with and grab from a copy and pasted wilds, but this could also be used nicely if you want a minigames map, but it requires a specific gadget

But in this case you only gotta ask once then you get the item forever. This discourages buying the expensive multi use items yourself which would drop revenue.

if they really wanted people to always buy stuff yourself then they wouldnt let people share items

I’m not saying the devs want to require spending money of coarse you can drop to other players it would lose immersion if you couldn’t

But they would loose significant revenue if they did

Cause it’s not like if you ask someone for grapplers they just gonna instantly give it to you

But this would let you get free items instant

the point of this to encourage building stuff like minigame maps

if people also use it for items, then thats fine

i think they shuld add it but you need to own it and you cant put the item despencer in some one elses private

Being able to make a minigame based around a specific item without every player needing to own it would be amazing
I think utilizing the key dispenser's design would be a good idea here.
Each item dispenser could hold one item, and when powered with wire it'll dispense.
If it's painted neon it'll launch the item like a projectile, launching full strength snowballs, butt-jo's, hot cocoa's etc.

I've noticed keys can't be taken between servers, so it's something they already have the code for, it shouldn't be to hard to implement

Yeah, I feel like bugs could occur, but the devs are good at fixing those.

i do like the idea of it being designed similarly to the key dispenser, but it would be hard to tell if the item was actually selected without a UI of some kind (art was made completely from memory)
